The hospitality of this village is second to none. The town is known for the beautiful Falls – which is a short hike to the first set of Falls, or you can do a longer hike to the second set of Falls. You will enjoy a small fishing lake with a gazebo located right in the middle of the downtown area, among the shops, great restaurants and cafes. It is close to Woodland Park, Colorado Springs, Pikes Peak and just minutes away from all of the Pikes Peak region attractions such as Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds, Manitou Cliff Dwellings, Pikes Peak Cog Railway, and Seven Falls. The historic mining town of Cripple Creek is only 35 miles away.

Beautiful and Peaceful

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was absolutely perfect. From the moment we arrived, we were in awe of how beautiful the area was. Then we walked into the cabin. Wow. So very cute, clean, cozy and well stocked. The cabin is secluded and has wonderful views from the wrap around deck. You could hear the river running from the deck as well which was an added bonus. The local restaurant, the Pantry was amazing. I highly recommend going there at least once in your visit. I will book this again when we return to the area. It couldn't have been any more perfect

Lovely and restful

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at the cabin in August 2015 for a week. I was eager to visit Green Mountain Falls as I had summered in Green Mtn. and Chipita Park every year as a child. It had been 30 years since I had last visited! I enjoyed our stay immensely. The smell of the pines, the sound of the falls, hiking around the mountain, watching the hummingbirds; it was all restful and relaxing. The cabin is neat and clean. It will sleep 4 comfortably. We spent mornings sitting on the wrap-around deck. We did have a bear one or two nights as a neighbor left their garbage outside. Green Mountain is a great location for a Colorado vacation. Quick trip into Colorado Springs and the wonderful things to see and do there. Easy access to Woodland Park too. And a couple of nice places to eat right in town. My only disappointment was that there are no longer riding stables or Monday night bingo in town - fond childhood memories!

Wonderful cabin in a nice quiet wooded area

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was very well appouinted and the location was a perfect balance of location and isolation. There were nearby cabins, but with the mountains and heavy tree cover there was plenty of privacy. This cabin is located at the end of a mountain road and had no drive-by traffic as a result. In addition, there is a creek running nearby and we loved waking up to the sound of birds and the rushing water. We definitely would recommend this for a small family looking for a place to stay that's close to Manitou Springs / Colorado Springs but is also outside of town and in a more natural setting.

Above and Beyond!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin far exceeded our expectations! So clean, comfortable, well-furnished and cozy...and the setting! Secluded with a wonderful view from the back deck within earshot of a rushing creek, it was the perfect set-up. We were only a few minutes' drive from all the area attractions, and loved going up to Woodland Park for errands instead of Co. Springs because it was closer and had everything you need. We also loved the cool temps in Green Mountain Falls...consistently 10 degrees or more cooler than Colorado Springs. If you're wondering which attractions to visit and restaurants to try, read the comments in the visitor's book at the cabin...good information there. You will never run out of things to do! Our family decided that this was our favorite vacation. We would love to go back next year and stay in the Bear Run cabin again...it was that wonderful! Thank you for providing such a great retreat!

Absolutely LOVED our time in Green Mountain Falls. Quaint little town and everyone is so friendly. The cabin was just what we expected and more. We went hiking both days. The falls are within walking distance. We would stay here again!

Nice Vacation

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I had never been to Colorado so we were looking for a place to stay that would be close to the things we wanted to do, but still be out of the big city. I love to hike and he likes to fly fish so the location was perfect for us. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. If we ever get the chance to return to the area again we would stay there again.
