This vintage mountain home is charming and cozy. Overlooking the Eastern Continental Divide, the views are astounding. It is a perfect place for a get-away from city life, yet it is close enough to Cashiers for city conveniences. For those who love the outdoors, it is very close to Panthertown Valley hiking area and Sapphire Valley golf and ski resort. For those who prefer indoor activity, there are plenty of shops to peruse in nearby Cashiers and well as in the neighboring town of Highlands. At an elevation of 4300 feet, you will be sure to enjoy open windows and cool, fresh mountain breezes throughout the summer season. It is a great place for both recreation and relaxation!

Beautiful view and very comfortable.
We had a great time at this property! The home was very spacious and comfortable. The view was beautiful! It sits right in the middle of a Christmas tree farm. House is close to town so it was easy to get to restaurants, shopping, and grocery store. We would definately stay here again!
Quiet wonderful cabin
This place was awesome! Had everything we needed. It's up the mountain and u feel like you are in a quiet area all only, but you are only 10 mins from town! We just loved it!
Cozy, Casual, and Peaceful
Great little cabin. Doesn't have all the amenities of some other cabins, but it makes up for it in charm and comfort. Very peaceful and quiet with beautiful views of the mountains. Quick trip into Cashiers and very close to Panthertown Valley recreational area. High elevation and lots of screened windows and fans means the cabin was very comfortable, even in late July. Layout with open-plan kitchen/living/dining in the middle and bedrooms on either side means no one will feel crowded. Favorite spot was the sunporch in the AM. Will definitely return!
Gorgeous view !
Very comfortable house with easy access . Convenient for Falls and various hikes in the area .
Made to feel welcome . Nice touch was the creamer left in the fridge for our use .
Would love to return .
So glad you enjoyed your stay. Please come back again!
My family fell in love with this house in the mountains. The views and location were breathtaking- we didn't even want to leave the house once we got there. The house was very comfortable, with plenty of room and a kitchen well stocked with cooking utensils. Kim was very responsive and easy to contact. Cashiers is a charming town with plenty to do, and is close to many beautiful sights. We are already planning our next trip.
Perfect Mountain Getaway
This house was perfect for our mountain getaway / my best friends wedding at Lonesome Valley. The house was located on top of the ridge overlooking the valley, above a lovely Christmas tree farm, and it provided amazing long-range mountain views. It made us feel like we were way out in nature, but was only a few minutes from the wedding venue, restaurants, shops and downtown Cashiers. The house was very clean upon arrival and Kim was very easy to work with in terms of providing the necessary details and getting us checked in. I would definitely stay here again.
It takes about 8 minutes to get from Highway 64 to the house (2.9 miles). It is close enough to Cashiers (15 minutes or so) to be very convenient yet is far enough up the mountain so that you feel you are definitely "getting away from it all." The first part of Dry Land Lane is a dirt/gravel road that can be slightly bumpy in spots. The second section is paved, making the climb to the top of the ridge easy. The view is definitely worth the ride!
