About Owner/Property Manager

We live in Greenville SC in the burbs. Our fast pace lives begged for a get away. When we saw this mountain top we knew we were going to love this view. Morning sunrise with coffee on the deck sitting by the fireplace. We have two teenagers still at home. They love coming up on their days off and kayaking in Lake Glenville. To get ready for a week in the mountains we pack food, clothes, and toiletries. Everything else is waiting for us. That is what we wanted for future vacationers. No fuss; just walk in and make yourself at home.

Why Owner/Property Manager chose Smoky Mountains

Due to the elevation, it is always cooler then the surrounding towns of Cashiers, Highlands, Franklin and Glenville. The view of the two south facing decks is spectacular. Sun rising over the mountain across the valley is memorable. Summer activities include hiking everywhere, rafting on nearby rivers and boating on Lake Glenville. Restaurants, art fairs, antique shops, farmer's markets and unique clothing stores in nearby towns. Fall colors are mesmerizing.

What makes this house unique

Two large open decks. Top level deck with outdoor fire place. Serene. Brand new with all hardwood floors

Wonderful time in this cabin. Away from it all. Cabin is well maintained and equipped.

Loved our stay . 30 min to Cahiers , a little further to the Highlands. Easy to find something to do. Hikes and waterfalls around. Beautiful area. Home was well maintained and loved the deck!

Nice escape from it all with the family.

  • 5 of 5

Thank you for sharing your wonderful cabin! The cabin was fully stocked with the little things that made it feel like home. Really, all you need is your clothing, toiletries, and food. The view and outside fireplace were my favorite part. We had a cold, rainy front come through for the first few days we were there but the weather made reading in front of the fireplace a very relaxing treat. There is a wood shed with plenty of wood even for an extended stay. Also, there is a sandy beach for the kids at the Lake Glenville public access park about 15 minutes away and a trail that goes down to two waterfalls across the street from there. But, be prepared bc that trail is challenging. Absolutely print the directions given by the owners prior to check-in. Both my car and phone GPS were wrong from the main road up to the cabin.

Well-appointed Cabin, excellent views!

  • 5 of 5

Definitely off the beaten path, but only 30 mins or so into Highlands, Cashiers or Franklin. Feels like you're on the tippy top of a mountain, with the stunning views to go along with it. Our favorite part was the outdoor fireplace - absolutely lovely. The cabin itself was perfect for our needs. Great kitchen, upscale and clean bathrooms, very nice linens throughout, comfortable beds. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

Wonderful mountain getaway!

This was a first for my family of three and we definitely hope to stay here again! The owner did a wonderful job answering any questions and provided a high chair and other miscellaneous items for our six month old son. We truly felt like we were able to get away staying in this wonderful cabin was perfect!

As Good As It Gets!!

  • 5 of 5

Having stayed in a cabin located in Tennessee for our annual vacation the past 16 years, we decided to try something new and went to NC. This was by FAR the largest and nicest cabin we've enjoyed. It was like staying in our own home in a beautiful mountain setting. Thoughtful owners have supplied almost everything you might need in their cabinets and there is enough room to spread out and relax as if in your own home. Other than a single trip to enjoy some shopping and walking around, we never left the cabin the entire rest of the time. Don't really want to give such a great review because I don't want to have problems staying in the future (and we WILL try to stay here again!) due to no bookings available. However, it would be ungrateful to fail to say thank-you to the owners for such a beautiful, thoughtfully supplied and well stocked cabin. It was our best cabin vacation ever and we plan to enjoy it again in 2017!

Mountain get away

  • 5 of 5

After my sons wedding my husband and I needed a get away. This was one of the nicest homes we have stayed at with VRBO. It had all the amenities you could ask for. With an outdoor fireplace and indoor fireplace you were set for any weather. Will definitely stay there again. We might even share our secret with our family next time.
