About Ann Marie & Joel Franck
Wisconsinites turned Southerners! While searching the States for a bed and breakfast to purchase, we came upon Hendersonville and absolutely fell in love with the area. It had everything anyone could want; outdoor activities like kayaking, hiking, (two of our favorites), biking, rafting, ziplining, not to mention the sights like the Blue Ridge Parkway, Chimney Rock, DuPont Forest, Biltmore, the thriving arts community of Hendersonville and Asheville. Greenville and Georgia are within close proximity and the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway with its views and microclimates had us at the first photo opportunity! Everything we needed was right here in this thriving community. Hendersonville just felt like home even before we could call it home. We bought a house and a year later bought another one so we could share this wonderful experience with you! We live within ten minutes of the vacation rental so if there is ever any concern we can address the issue within minutes. We hope you will fall in love with Nature's Harmony just as we have.
Ann Marie & Joel Franck purchased this House in 2015
Why Ann Marie & Joel Franck chose Hendersonville
The first time we saw the log cabin we knew it would be our new home. As we walked through the front door and saw the craftsmanship of the wooden beams and flooring, it just felt like "home". Nature's Harmony house is truly the best of both worlds...a bit of the past with all the modern conveniences one would want in a house in the mountains. We loved the setting because the house is nestled among trees and shrubs which allow us to have a very private yard in a quiet neighborhood. We felt like we were miles from town although we are only a couple of miles from a grocery store, the hospital or bustling downtown Hendersonville and less than 30 miles to vibrant Asheville that has so many things going for it. There is a massive master suite with sitting area and a new master bathroom was just added. The landscape and gardens are the next renovation project including a new fire pit to enjoy as one gazes at the stars in the always clear North Carolina skies.
What makes this House unique
This home's appeal will revitalize the artisan in all, craftsman or not! The house is perfect for a couple who just wants to get away for the weekend or for a family, or two, who want to gather in a central location to have some fun hiking the many trails close by or sightsee at locations less than an hour away. This area boasts numerous activities and guarantees that no one will be bored while visiting. The floor plan is perfect for someone to be relaxing on the comfy leather sofa watching the large screen tv or reading in the living room. A game table is set off in the corner for others to partake in a rousing game of go fish or poker! If the game gets too rowdy, simply close the doors that lead to the office and kitchen so others can enjoy gossiping without being heard. The master suite is at the rear of the house. It boasts a king size bed and large seating area so one, or many, can watch the 50" TV. The seating area has a pullout couch so additional family members can sleep in this room as well. There is a room divider which will allow for privacy for both parties. The best part about the master suite is the screened-in porch which one can access through french doors. Enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or a nice glass of wine while you unwind from a day of sightseeing.

Perfect size for two families of four! We enjoyed the beautiful yard, especially the fire pit. The cabin was clean & comfortable with everything we needed. Location was secluded, but close to town. We really enjoyed our stay here.
Unique Place To Stay.
Place was clean & convenient to Hendersonville. Description of house states “walk through front door to a floor to ceiling fireplace”. Also under Amenities “Fireplace”. The fireplace is not operable. This rental has very strict rules One Example: if you don’t recyclable correctly you can be charged up to $100. Our suggestion is to have more trash cans in house to match the trash bins outside. This the first time since we have rented through VRBO that we have given less than a 5 star review.
We are saddened after all the texts, emails and phone calls from you prior to your stay that it did not meet your expectations. In the description of it states that the fireplace is inoperable. Our house rules are no more strict than any other VRBO. As long as you read the house rules "before" you rent a house, you should know what is expected of you-the guest. Our checkout directions are also on the island and easy to follow. We are sorry that it was hard for you adhere to our house rules.
Great place to stay!
We so enjoyed our stay at Nature's Harmony! There is plenty of room to spread out and absolutely anything you could possibly need was provided. Ann Marie and Joel were great hosts, making the whole process from beginning to end a breeze.
We spent the weekend at Nature's Harmony Nov 1-3. A quarterly girls trip. The photos in the listing represent the cabin very well. Unfortunately, we didn't spend a lot of time in the cabin itself. The majority of the weekend we were in Asheville, which is a 30-45 minute drive away depending on traffic. The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped. We had some issues figuring out how to operate the heating/AC unit in the master bedroom but were able to Google and find the information we needed.
The cabin is located in a very quiet location.
I would recommend Nature's Harmony if you are looking for a place to stay in Hendersonville.
Quaint home with a rustic flare. Secluded in the neighborhood.
The six of us were comfortable in Nature's Harmony. Two bedrooms downstairs: One queen bed and one king with pull-out sofa. One of us needed her own room so the queen went to her. Two women in the king, one woman on the pull-out sofa. and two women in the queen upstairs. Accommodations were clean and the owners were quick to answer any emailed questions through VRBO. The kitchen is large and roomy and we spent much of our time together around the kitchen table. Thank you for a peaceful, relaxing time near antique shops in Hendersonville and the Biltmore Estate in Asheville.
Hendersonville is a happenin' place! The lively downtown has a variety of wonderful restaurants to choose from as well as fabulous stores to take a day or two to meander through and find a momento to commemorate your stay in the mountains. Hendersonville boasts two vineyards, Burntshirt and Saint Paul, where often you can enjoy the sounds of local musicians. If wine isn't your scene, visit Southern Appalachian or Sanctuary Breweries located right in Hendersonville. Of course, Asheville boasts many breweries too for you to taste your way through. Throughout the year there are many festivals like the Garden Jubilee in downtown Hendersonville Memorial Day weekend; NC Apple Festival over Labor Day weekend; Farm City Day the first weekend in October; or NC State Fair the second week of September. Every Friday evening, June through August, enjoy a free concert on Main Street downtown Hendersonville. The Music On Main Street concert series has become a favorite summertime event with families of all ages. Music On Main Street features some of the best regional artists performing live on the permanent stage located on the corner of Main and Barnwell Streets. Another favorite event is the street dances. The sounds of fiddles and banjos playing at the Street Dance have been a part of Henderson County's heritage for 97 years. People of all ages journey to downtown Hendersonville to enjoy mountain heritage music and dancing. Put on your dancing shoes for some good toe tapping music, where there is a dance area in front of the stage. The dances are held every Monday evening from July 11 through August 15 at Visitor Center, 201 South Main Street. For more information on area events visit http://www.historichendersonville.org
Sports enthusiasts, adventure awaits you! Rock climbing; biking; climb the vast mountains in the area; visit the Green River Gorge for many treetop activities like Zip-Line or fly fishing; river raft or kayak the French Broad River.
If you choose to visit a neighboring area like Chimney Rock, DuPont Forest, Saluda, Greenville, SC and of course Asheville can all be accessed within an hours drive. We would be more than happy to help you narrow down your choices or answer questions on the activities in the area.
