2 bedrooms, 2 bath, cabin in a gated community. Huge open kitchen with updated appliances. Long range views from living room and kitchen. Large deck overlooking the valley. Lots of wildlife - deer, turkeys.
Community has an Olympic size swimming pool, tennis courts, clubhouse and nature trails. There are 3 lakes to fish from, 2 waterfalls and lots of picnic and camping areas.
Great location for a small family or a couples getaway.

Beautiful View!

Walnut Mountain is a lovely area. The cabin had a beautiful view. We enjoyed the deck immensely and the cabin was spacious for a two bedroom. The owners were very kind, responsive and timely. The only note I would add is that I believe the cleaning crew forgot to come before our arrival, which was probably a fluke and doesn't happen often.

Quiet, Relaxing, and Clean

Fresh mountain air is what you smell when you walk through the front door and stare through the giant floor to ceiling windows of this cabin! Such a great time visiting the apple orchards and farms nearby too. House is in a gated entrance so you don't hear any highway noise at all. Our last evening there we were on the back porch and saw 15 or 20 deer right below us. It was super cool. Don't keep searching around, just book this one!

This cabin was perfect. Clean with a gorgeous view. Easy check in/out. The owner was very accommodating. I would definitely stay there again.

Thanksgiving Vacation

My wife and I wanted to take our 4 year old grandson to the Santa Express Train in Blue Ridge. I wanted a cabin with a mountain view, wood burning fireplace, paved road access, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Walnut mountain cabin met those needs. The cabin was very spacious with bedrooms split floor plan and had a mountain view and direct access to a covered patio area. My grandson just loved it. He was very safe running around the large cabin and on the huge patio deck area. The cabin is centrally located and was 21 mins from Blue Ridge. Ellijay had all the stores we needed, too. Just a perfect week in a cabin in the mountains. The mountain cabin is where we will go and sit by the warmth of the fireplace to soothe the soul. WALNUT MOUNTAIN THANSGIVING Thanksgiving on Walnut Mountain this year We will feast on butter ball turkey, corn bread stuffing and cheer Exicited about our trip on Santa Blueridge Express train With hot chocolate, christmas cookies, and candy cane Hoping to find that perfect Christmas tree. Maybe, "Old Man Winter" will send some snow so we can ski We'll put on jackets, warm socks and mittens So our fingers and toes don't get frostbitten Whatever the weather is, we'll drink in the woodsy nature And won't forget to give thanks to our great maker.

Overall good experience

Overall it was a good experience. However, there were a couple of minor details that we noticed: not enough towels & wash cloths, and no hooks in the bathrooms to hang bath robe and/or toiletries bag. It did not affect our trip because we adjusted, but it was a little inconvenient.

Family Get Away

We had a wonderful time at this cabin. We picked one of the coldest times to come, just after New Years day 2018. We had a few glitches when the temperature hit 4 deg F!, but the owner Amar fixed everything promptly and took wonderful care of us. There were four of us. Myself, my wife and 2 elementary school age kids. The cabin had everything we needed for a memorable stay. We played games (the cabin is well stocked with games of all types), made fires, baked cookies, read and generally just relaxed. We highly recommend the cabin and would return.

Poorly represented and overall a disappointment

The unit was not clean. It was very poorly represented and did not provide television without the ability to stream from a mobile device via Google. I would not recommend and encourage others to look elsewhere. Also, the checkout was scheduled for 10:30 yet advertised as 11:00. Departure requirements to receive a return on deposit were excessive when a very hefty cleaning fee was also charged.

Loved it!

We stayed here for a week in July and loved it. The owner Amar was quick to respond to any questions we had. He contacted us on our arrival day to make sure everything was ok. The house was wonderful with a great deck out back where we enjoyed our coffee in the morning and a few dinners as well. We also enjoyed the community pool and walked a couple of the trails within the community. I would definitely recommend this house and would stay there again if we were to go in the area again.

Perfect Mountain Top Vacation

This vacation home was even better in person than I could tell from the listing showed. The owners were quick to respond to my questions, very friendly and accommodated our travel plans. The house was immaculately clean and had more amenities than listed. The kitchen was stocked extremely well- I had brought tools and dishes that were never needed. Every room of the house was much more spacious than the pictures showed and all had amazing mountain views. It was very convenient to the town of Ellijay, which provided grocery stores and shopping. We loved the restaurants and shops of Blue Ridge, GA as well (about 20 minutes away) and went there a few times during our stay. I would definitely recommend this vacation home and wish I had more time off to enjoy it again!

Wonderful weekend!

We enjoyed a relaxing, stress free weekend at this very clean, cozy cabin. The owner is wonderful and very helpful. We spent an afternoon at an orchard going on a wagon ride, a train ride and petting animals. We went into Blue Ridge in the evening to the drive in to see a new release movie. We enjoyed the beautiful mountain views relaxing on the deck. We will be back.

Amazing Views, Great Location

A friend and I wanted to hike the first leg of the Appalachian Trail and was looking for a place to stay in October which is the leaf watcher season. We were lucky enough to come across this wonderful rental. The location was perfect and the view from the deck is outstanding. We were in contact with the property owner several times and he was quick to respond and was very helpful with things to do in the area. We will definitely stay here again.

Great Area and Home

This property is the ultimate in peace and quiet. Breakfast on the deck each morning was so tranquil it was hard to believe there was the rest of the world out there. The only thing that may be a drawback to some is the fact that there is no tv, but watching a movie on the dvd in the evening was plenty of entertainment. During the day there were plenty of wineries and apple farms to visit to keep you busy. The owner, Amar, was great at keeping in contact and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed to have a great vacation.

Great Get Away Cabin

The views from this cabin were breathtaking especially as the sun set each evening. Quiet area with many wildlife sitings. Owner was very easy to work with and contact. Love the location a community with a pool, lakes, and creek.
