About Ashley Gebhard- Rental Agent

Hi, I'm Colby! I moved to Blue Ridge 4 years ago, after traveling around the world for over a decade as a flying trapeze artists (true story!) Having grown up just down the road in Atlanta, Blue Ridge and the North GA mountains always held a special place in my heart, so I was beyond thrilled to "run away from the circus" and have the chance to make this heaven on earth my home!

I love being able to share the majesty of Blue Ridge with guests from all over the world, and hear their stories of epic family gatherings and laughter-filled groups of friends coming together for good times and adventure. We also are proud to offer the only flying trapeze school for several hundred miles, so if you're feeling a daring streak, come try a class with us!

Why Ashley Gebhard- Rental Agent chose Blue Ridge

Having seen hundreds of cabins both on and off the river during my years in Blue Ridge, I knew the first time I saw this property that it had something magical about it. Very few properties offer both river and creek frontage, and with the rustic barn and wide open level yard space (another rarity up here in the mountains), my heart was swept away. I knew that this would be a vacation heaven for countless groups for many years to come, and couldn't wait to share it with the world! The Toccoa River is the lifeblood of Blue Ridge, and once you spend a few hours here you'll feel its powerful energy coursing through you as surely as I do.

Beautiful, Beautiful family time.

  • 5 of 5

Our family had an amazing time. Already recommended on facebook. I personally would only recommend a good cleaning under beds ect. Pressure spray porch. Other than a good quarterly cleaning needed the place is amazing and beautiful. The beds slept comfortable. If you have kids they will love the game room, grownups too. Our family loved it and planning our next get away together.

Beautiful, spacious property!

  • 5 of 5

This home was perfect for our friends getaway of 18 people. The home was plenty big enough to accommodate all adults! The grounds were amazing - sitting on the porch and listening to the calm water of the stream right in front of the house in the morning and enjoying a fire or hot tub in the evening made for a perfect day. The house was clean and well-stocked, although there were no baking sheets to use for our cooking. Would definitely return to this beautiful property in Blue Ridge!

Not an ideal vacation for the money charged.

  • 3 of 5

The setting was beautiful. We all enjoyed being so close to the river. Kitchen was nice and it was great to have two refrigerators. However, a lot of the furniture needs to be replaced. The dining chairs were falling apart and one of the beds in main floor bedroom was about to fall down. The mattresses were hard and uncomfortable. The children loved playing the games in the basement but the floor was cold concrete and the entire basement was freezing. It helped if the fireplace in the basement was left on all the time but it was not enough heat to make it really warm. If inside the house had been as perfect as outside was it would be perfect. There were some good things about the house, two refrigerators, lots of beds, the view and great games for the children but here were a lot of things that were not good too. For the amount of money charged the house was definitely lacking.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. The house is a wonderful house for large groups and we are glad you enjoyed the games and surrounding grounds. I pulled the two dinning room chair as you were the first to notify me about them. Sorry for that, the screws had just come loose from the seat. We have also addressed the heating and fixed it as this was a much colder winter than the past years, so the units were having a hard time keeping up. We have also added some more area rugs to the basement for a more cozy feeling! As far as the beds go we have over 15 beds some are soft pillow top bed and others are a firm mattress we have a variety to accommodate all type of preferences.

Could NOT have been better!

  • 5 of 5

I cannot recommend this property enough! As testament to how perfect this place was for our huge family, the rainy day was one of the best. The multiple porches and seating allowed the “grownups” to spread out and enjoy the peaceful rainy Sunday morning while the giant downstairs game room allowed the kids to go wild. Inside the cooking went on and on and on. What a gorgeous kitchen with every pot, pan and utensil you can think of! Our ages ranged from 2-83, and we all had a blast. There was a spectacular golf course close by (Butternut Creek), kayaking, shopping and great restaurants. No matter what the season, go to Mercier Orchard! The views, the hot tub and the fire pits all lived up to the pictures! Also worth mentioning, the management was really attentive. When we lost emails to spam filters, we got reminders via phone about contracts and deadlines. This was an effortless and relaxing vacation.

Beautiful property with views of the river

  • 4 of 5

Great place for large families or groups of friends to spend time together. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook. Beds are comfy. Plenty of room to spread out. Hard to heat the basement in the winter and cell service is iffy but didn’t really want to be connected, too busy relaxing.
