Tucked Inn was built in 2007 and is filled with beautiful mountain antiques for the interiors. There are two fireplaces--one inside in the main room and one on the screen porch. There are gardens, paths, specific seating areas along the way either to the Creek or to the Garden House (with a small fire pit) and upper gardens. There are two bedrooms upstairs, both with Queen beds and in-suite baths. There is one bedroom downstairs with a King bed and bathroom. The screen porch and dining deck overlook the creek with comfortable seating. The hiking, fishing and canoe areas are nearby. There are excellent restaurants in the town of Highlands and also in areas outside of town. The town of Cashiers is located twenty minutes away with views of Whiteside Mountain along the route.

About Jane Black
We live in Atlanta but I have traveled to Highlands my entire life to stay at my grandfather's summer home. I guess the area is just in my soul now as it acts like a magnet when there is open time. It is a place of activity and peace and joy. We enjoy sharing our property with others.
Jane Black purchased this Cottage in 2007
Why Jane Black chose Highlands
We loved this property immediately upon seeing it. The sound of the creek below is constant and soothing. Gardening is rewarding in Highlands as the climate is conducive for plant growth and gardener comfort as no day is extremely hot. The winters are surprisingly mild most of the time with several periods of snow.

We loved our stay at “Tucked Inn”!
Beautiful, stunning, cozy property. Can’t wait to return. Missing the back porch already...
We are happy to hear of your pleasure in your stay. We agree on the screen porch...a fire with the creek rushing below is hard to beat for relaxation. We hope to se you again!
Excellent and highly recommended.
Wonderful home, and that’s what it is. Charming, cozy and clean.
The owner certainly thinks of everything to make a guest feel welcome.
We will return!
Beautiful home with a running brook as soundtrack
Great house and well appointed and clean, lots of mountain atmosphere, lovely screened porch. My only regret is not having time to read the wonderful history books within.
Great house and property!
Your beautiful house made our weekend perfect!
Absolutely beautiful home and amazing gardens.
Can’t wait to return to this beautiful home!! Georgeous furnishings, surroundings- perfect in every way and tucked in to the mountainside with rushing waterfall in back. It couuldn’t have been more peaceful. Close to town but very private. Loved every minute of our time there!!
You have described Tucked Inn better than on the web site. I love "tucked inn" to the mountainside". I hope you walked around the gardens in the front and in the back towards the creek. There are blooms everywhere!
Our family felt we were in a magical wonderland. The minute we arrived we were all soaking in the whimsical and relaxing home and gardens. Every room was well thought out for comfort. The screen porch was so special with the sound of the river and a fire going every night. Not sure who enjoyed it the most...humans or our dogs. We ALL loved the trails. Cannot wait to get back to Tucked Inn.
Tucked Inn is sited above Big Creek with sounds of the rushing water. There are gardens around the property to enjoy.Three miles from town with the final half mile being on a gravel road.
