The Space:

Are you searching for a recently renovated home with a hot tub and room for the whole family for your vacation? Look no further than The Flying Fish! The hot tub on the back deck is the perfect place to take your vacation relaxation to the next level, whatever the season! Located in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of Forest Beach this house is also a short drive away from some of the best restaurants and shops both Harwich Port and Downtown Chatham have to offer!



The interior redesign features new flooring, paint, appliances, fixtures, and countertops done in a sophisticated coastal style. The Flying Fish features an open concept eat-in kitchen and large living room. Also on the first floor is a bedroom with a Queen bed, half bath, and laundry room. On the second floor you’ll find two Queen bedrooms, one with an en-suite full bathroom. There is another full bathroom upstairs as well as the “bunk” room which has five bunk beds! The home is also equipped with WiFi, a YouTube TV streaming subscription, and A/C to make sure you spend your vacation in comfort.



On the outside, this home offers a large semi-fenced private yard with a gas grill, an outdoor shower, and a welcoming deck with plenty of seating–a great spot from which to enjoy those beautiful summer evenings! Don’t forget that your pups are welcome to join in on the fun too! Up to 2 dogs are allowed at the Flying Fish (with an additional fee).



Under half a mile away, you will find Forest Beach–one of Chatham’s best-known and most beautiful bayside beaches. What could be better than taking a short walk to the beach just down the street?



The Flying Fish is also convenient to local favorite restaurants like The Talkative Pig, Bucca’s Tuscan Roadhouse, Brax Landing. If you are feeling adventurous the Freedom Ferry to Nantucket also departs from nearby Saquatucket Harbor.

We loved our stay in this beautiful, spacious house! The place was very clean and worked great for our family. The yard had plenty of room to play, too, and it was very convenient to Chatham town and nice beaches. We would happily stay here again!

Cape Cod Family Vacation

We were looking for a nice centrally located home to stay for a family vacation with the grandparents. The property has plenty of bedrooms and space for a family with kids, including a nice yard for games and a cookout. It’s also only a 5 minute walk to the beach!

Great Little Getaway

The house was the perfect size for our weekend away. The place was super cute and fit the aesthetic! Close the the beaches and downtown area. Home was clean and well kept! Would definitely stay again.

Perfect Family Getaway

The house is located in a quaint area of Chatham. The open floor layout of the house was perfect to gather, play games and enjoy meals. Short walk to the beach. Highly recommend!

Close to beach

We enjoyed the home; particularly the deck, kitchen supplies, and walking to two beaches just a few blocks away. The neighbors were loud at night, which was bothersome, but aside from that, it was a peaceful stay.

Fantastic multi family vacation home

Our family stayed here with my sisters family - 4 adults and 6 young children -and everyone had a fantastic vacation. There was plenty of space to play with the kids and also to escape the noise and great living spaces for us all to eat together and play games together. We stayed during a cold spring week and we didn't feel as though we were shut in on top of each other. The towns nearby and restaurants were excellent also.

Lovely home, great location and amenities

This house was perfect for our extended family while attending a wedding in Chatham. Clean and well equipped. We loved the proximity to the beach. The layout of the home was perfect for two families with 4 kid cousins sharing the bunk bedroom. Thanks so much for the awesome accommodations!

Family and Friends

We had a great stay with family and friends over Memorial Day weekend. This is a great house for a big group, and it was nice to be able to bring our pup. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and games in the basement. My only complaints would be that the metal chairs around the dining table are uncomfortable, and the kitchen is stocked fairly minimally for cooking meals compared to other places I’ve stayed. Overall though it was excellent.

Cape Cod Spring Break Stay

Our families had a wonderful stay. The pictures of the house do not do justice of how nice and spacious the house is. We loved the options of the games in the basement and the outdoor hot tub. Perfect for a couple families to spend time with eachother on a trip. Only thing I could comment negatively on, and this is nitpicking, was the hot tub was not cleaned before our arrival and had a bad odor and color, but a cleaner came out a few days I to our stay and replaced and retreated. It would also be nice to have some food containers with lids or maybe cling wrap or foil to cover food in bowls. Also a vacuum cleaner would be nice to have access to, to keep up on any floor debris particularly for the area rug. Thank you so much, we had a wonderful stay!!

Bugs

Bed/mattress my wife and I slept in was VERY hard. Jack originally brought over a mattress pad which would not have helped. He returned with a mattress topper that did help but was for a single bed, my wife and I were in a queen... Our plan was to cooks lots of food over weekend. We were using oven to bake and when kitchen began to get smoky we opened doors and opened window over sink in kitchen, My wife became visibly ill when she saw the amount of bugs in window sill (check it out, they are still there). Let's say that our hope for a fun/enjoyable New Years weekend did not turn out as planned

Perfect Location in South Chatham

Had a positively wonderful four-day stay for our wedding weekend in South Chatham. The house was very neat, tidy, and clean upon our arrival. The kitchen/dining and living areas were very spacious and comfortable - we just wish we had had more time to kick back, relax, and enjoy the space! That said, the location of the house could not have been more perfect, as it was the half-way point between the site of the ceremony (Forest Beach) and the location of the reception (cottage off Pleasant Street) - all within walking distance. This was extremely convenient for us in shuffling various supplies to the cottage and meeting with vendors, while our friends were also able to easily wander down to the beach and relax. The free time we all did have to lounge together at the house was primarily spent in the backyard (which was much bigger than we expected - perfect for lawn games!) and having cocktails and apps out on the deck. We were blessed with beautiful weather so we made sure to take advantage of the outdoor areas as much as possible. Rebecca was a most helpful and responsive host. While we had no issues checking in or out, all of her correspondence with me was immediate. If we had to do it all over again, we would absolutely choose to stay at Rebecca's lovely home. It was the perfect "home base" for the weekend and we truly wished we could have stayed longer!

Yard Can Use Some Work

We stay in Chatham every year. We always rent a house with another family (8 total kids/adults). We were pleased with the inside of the home. It seemed newly remodeled, spacious rooms, nice kitchen. Overall, we liked the inside. There were a few minor things. One being the basement was not finished but considered a useable room. There was a big hole in the floor so we didn’t want the kids down there. The basement was a nice selling point for us with 4 kids. Second, there was no vacuum accessible. Although that seems like a minor thing, we like to keep the house clean. Having kids running in and out and beach sand, the floors were disgusting. There was a broom and no dust pan so that didn’t help. Upon arrival, we walked into the yard and the deck was absolutely disgusting. It was covered in dirt and mold. So bad that none of us would even sit outside. The yard looked like it wasn’t maintained at all. Im not sure how you remodel a home and keep the yard, in a place like the Cape, like it hasn’t been touched in years. I did reach out to the Property Manager who sent someone out. Im not sure who came but they told the PM the outside was fine. After sending pictures, they sent a cleaning crew out to power wash and scrub the deck. After all was said and done, it took 3 full days to get it properly taken care of so that’s 3 days we didn’t get to enjoy the outside of the house. We were all unanimous in saying we would not re-rent that house.

Fall Getaway

Everything was as advertised! This property had plenty of space to stretch out and relax. The basement with ping pong and foosball was an added bonus. The hot tub was the perfect spot after biking through the Cape. Well done!

Good Rental Location

We had a lovely trip to the Cape and we're excited by the ability to bring our dog who enjoyed being able to run around in the large backyard! We enjoyed the hot tub and how easy/close it was to travel to stores and businesses. I think the cleaning crew may have run out of time as we when we arrived there were leftover beer cans outside near the hot tub, the couch cushions looked like they had been recently used and there was a surpring of ants coming through the cracks in the front and back door. If you don't plan to stay in the rental much, this is likely the perfect place for you! You do need to be very quiet as you can hear someone talking even if you are outside with the door closed (even if they aren't speaking loudly), the house makes quite a bit of noise and the lighting was confusing to figure out, there is no decor on the walls and the mattresses aren't very comfortable but overall not bad. I would recommend bringing slippers or extra shoes to wear outside in the backyard only as it's very sandy and tracks in quite a bit of sand and residue. Overall it was a nice stay!

Experience the real Cape Cod Life!

Our group of seven moms enjoyed our weekend getaway in South Chatham. This house had everything we needed and more. It was clean and spacious. We loved having all of there linens and towels included. Do be sure to pack your own beach towels and chairs! The hot tub was clean, warm and exactly what we needed after a day of exploring on the Cape! We will definitely return in the future!
