About this property

Summer, season, or in between - this 3 bedroom, 3 bath home is your island retreat. Located in a quiet residential neighborhood, but within an easy walk to the beautiful Gulf beach as well as the Island library, shops for everything from fresh fish to fashion to ice cream to local art, and of course bars and restaurants on Anna Maria Island.
You will quickly feel at home, with a well-equipped kitchen, and multiple spaces indoors and out to gather, entertain, or just enjoy some solitude. An unusual floor plan includes a living room, kitchen, large dining/TV room (the Florida room), two bedrooms - one queen, one with twin beds -, and two bathrooms with showers in the main house. About 10 feet outside the Florida room door and across the patio is
the Cottage, a separate space with the 3rd bedroom with a queen bed and bath with shower, a TV/sitting room with a mini-fridge, coffee maker and microwave, and a beautiful lanai. Think of the extended family possibilities!

This home is not shy of indoor entertainment which can provide hours of family fun! It features 3 TV's, puzzles and games, lots of books and a foosball/air hockey/ mini-pool table! A shared laundry room, a charcoal grill on the patio, and a two-car carport with plenty of additional parking are also provided, along with a beach wagon, beach chairs of several varieties, and beach toys. We think you will love your Home at Holmes Beach!
Dogs are welcomed with their own beds, dishes and toys. Pet fee is $200 per pet plus taxes.

Holmes Beach house

Enjoyed our stay. The 2 houses in one was nice. My adult children had their side and my wife and I had ours. We used the larger side for meals and hang outs.

Great location good value nice outdoors needs updating. Could be cleaner old curtains lampshades some of the furniture should be replaced. Somethings are from the 1960s or earlier. Air conditioner didn't work in small unit

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First of all the staff at Florida Dreams was great tending to our requests. The location of the property was ideal for beach access and exploring the island. However, the property is in dire need of a full makeover. Other than the sofa on porch all the fixtures and furniture are very dated. In addition the overall structure is starting to decay. Don’t get me wrong it was very clean and functional, just not well-maintained. Once again, the folks at FDR went to every length to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. In fact we’ve already rented for next year at a Florida Dreams property. In the end it’s up to the property owner to make the major updates that are needed!

The tv room in the rear of the house had more than enough space for all of us and our friends who lived close. The extra quarters were a perfect spot for my sister and her husband to stay to get their own private space. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook with . Florida Dreams came to help me with a small problem and they were prompt and very polite. If you’re looking for a rental to make you feel like home this is the place

Unit was clean and had ample parking. The management company helped us both times we called for minor things and were very accommodating. The unit is an old Florida home that has been updated but still has the old charm. It met the needs of our family with a short walk to the beach and relatively quiet.

Wonderful home in perfect location!

We really enjoyed our stay at this home. The location was perfect - two blocks to the beach (no roads to cross) and two blocks to the Freckled Fin, Ice Cream, shops, coffee shop, deli, etc. The home itself was perfect! Very clean and tons of space! Home is even bigger than it appears online. Kitchen and living rooms were well appointed and had lots of small thing (games, books, beach equipment) that helped us enjoy our stay without having to waste time and money at the stores. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks!

Roomy and great location

The property was much bigger than expected. Lots of room to have family and friends over for a get-together. The property was clean, cozy, and full of amenities. The beach was a few blocks away. Parking was excellent. We had our own vehicle and was able to rent a golf cart with plenty of room to still have family stop by and visit.

The homeowner lives in the same building in a different unit. A very sweet & kind lady. It does make you concerned about making too much noise. One of the blinds fell down and I was told the maintenance man would come and measure and order a new one. So the majority of our stay, the blind was falling down. It is clean but run down.

The location is perfect - walk to beach in 5 minutes - walk to library in 5 minutes - walk to all the cute shops, restaurants, bars and marina in Holmes beach in 5 minutes. Fantastic social dog park is 10 minutes walk too. The house is very spacious. It's very quiet in a low traffic street. It was only my husband and me so we didn't need the extra whole guest cottage but that would be great if you had teenagers or a second couple in your party. The house is very well-equipped with everything we needed for a long stay. Lovely owner who went to every length to ensure we had a great stay.

Nice space and location

Needs a few improvements such as better WiFi and some updates but there is ample space and loved the location. The cottage is a great feature. We were in for our son’s wedding and it worked out perfectly. Also, one more irritation is with all the add ons in the pricing. This is something not unique to this property but this one was the worst we’ve stayed in. Advertised nightly price ended up being double after all the extra fees! Just advertise the total up front and we wouldn’t feel like we are being tricked.

Needs a little attention

The reason we booked this rental was due to the location - it was just 2 houses down from our friends. Plus it was pretty convenient walk to the beach. However, the interior of the home could use a little attention. The furniture situation was odd and did give the impression that it was a bunch of random old furniture bought at thrift stores or yard sales. One couch was missing a leg and had a peg holding it up- not even secured. The master bed was not comfortable and felt like the frame was going to collapse but the twin beds had new mattresses. Only one burner on the stove top worked. Silverware in the drawer was dirty, so we washed dishes before using anything.

All of The furniture looks like it it came from a thrift store. As well as couches and chairs are musty. The owner was on site and this is a duplex that was not clear when we rented. The owner is very very nice but she needs to spend some money on this home to be considered a good rental. Over all I would say we would not rent again without significant work done and furniture upgrades
