Great location for ski resort but not hiking. You are definitely in a neighborhood. Pictures depict a different experience. I agree with comments about the weird set up- walking through actual bedrooms to get to hot tub and other bedrooms. Big hassle. Also AC did notwork on a 80 degree day. While they told me I would get a refund- 2 weeks later nothing! Also we had 8 people and we cooked. There were 4 forks and 4 spoons, another hassle. The views were amazing and the decks delightful although furniture was very uncomfortable on the deck. Property manager communicative but follow through never happened. Mixed bag for sure on this place.

Clean except some of the flooring as evidenced from bottom of socks. Cabin is small rooms and needs updating. Host responded to our concerns but was defensive and didn’t believe me about the towels being damp and the floor. It was just Okay but would not stay again.

Great Host & Great views

We enjoyed our stay and the host was fantastic. The only thing that we didn't really care for was the layout of the house. It does have quite a few rooms, but you have to go through each room and the main bedroom on the main level to get to the living area. I am sure that is great for a family with young children, but for all adults, it made others a bit uncomfortable to go through our room as it kind of invaded privacy a bit. Other than that, the place was awesome and the views were outstanding.

The house was terrific!!! It was roomy enough for our entire family. The house is well stocked with everything we needed. We cooked breakfast and supper there. The children were excited to see the toys and they played with them our entire stay. The house is in great location of Maggie Valley. Vickie was terrific to work with. We will stay here again.

Wonderful Mountain Getaway

Our family enjoyed a week in Maggie Valley at this lovely house! Plenty of space for everyone, including a large living room plus a second TV room downstairs. Our favorite hang-out space was the huge back porch overlooking the fish pond. Lots of coy, plus the neighborhood groundhog and rabbits made daily appearances! The stocked kitchen pantry and the coffee/tea bar were nice extras.

A bit misleading

Listing indicates it is 4 bedroom unit. While that might technically be true, you have to walk through one bedroom to get to another. That might work okay for families with children, but for 4 grown men who want their privacy, it did not Oh, and they were still cleaning the place 45 minutes after check-in, so I couldn't even get in.

Close to BRP, nice view

Day 1 the toilet downstairs would not flush, this issue was solved on day 7. You had to climb up the stairs to use the master bathroom even in the middle of the night which disturbed the guest staying in that room. Asian Lady beetles (look like Lady bugs but are aggressive and can bite)were in the downstairs bedrooms so they climbed into our luggage, bedding, crawled all over the window sills and elsewhere. We were promised that an exterminator would promptly treat but we never saw them during our stay. Stressful trip to this property, won't rent again. Much time spent trying to get the owner, manager or someone to fix our issues. A partial refund was given, not the amount we expected.

Nice place with lots of minor issues

The house was clean and looked nice on the surface. However, there were a lot of little things in need of repair... Such as one of the bathroom door knobs wouldn't turn from the inside so you would get stuck, the microwave would turn on but you couldn't use any of the other buttons, and the grill was on horrible condition. The worst was the kitchen sink had a major malfunction while we were there and it took all day for them to come out and repair it (it broke while we were cleaning up from breakfast and they finally came about 8 pm to fix it). That meant we were without water in our kitchen for the entire day and since we were only there for the weekend, about half of our stay was without running water in the kitchen. Since we were 7 of us and we were eating meals in the cabin it was very inconvenient to not having a usable kitchen sink. The property manager said that the person to repair it also needed to clean the cabins and they put a higher priority on getting the cabins clean. The property manager was responsive while we were there, she was trying her best and even came out that evening to replace the grill for us since we were. trying to use it. Since we were without water in the kitchen for a lot of our stay we asked if we could get a partial refund and she said she'd check with the owner, but could never commit. And once we checked out she has ignored my messages to see if a partial refund was possible.

We had a great time!

We arrived a little early and made a call to see if early check-in was possible. They were very willing to contact the lady who cleans the house to see if it was ready; and it was. We were able to check in and get settled with 2 small children. Tubing World and the ski resort are very close. The house is nice and clean and the beds were comfortable. There was no major clean-up needed by us, which was a very nice change. At other homes we had to make the beds and then take off the sheets at the end of our stay. We were able to wash ski clothes before we left and repack our 'winter boxes'. With plenty of parking space, we will definitely consider staying there again.

I’ve stayed at many places but this one is the best stocked with everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. Heck if you even forget your toothbrush, it has NEW toothbrushes. That’s just an example! Even the offer bar was well stocked. Will definitely return to this home the next time I stay in Maggie Valley

Our amazing vacation at Maggie Valley

Cabin was very nice, clean, confortable, very well furnished, and it had an amazing view of the smoky mountains. Location was very convenient to go anywhere you wanted to go. We enjoyed our vacation very much and we liked seeing the humming birds coming to the feeders in the porch very often. Perhaps, accessing the downstair bedrooms and hot tub was a little bid inconvenient , because they had to go through the master bedroom, but overall we had an amazing time! Thanks you for such a lovely place!
