This place needs a complete remodel. The staircase to the front door is falling apart, the kitchen utensils are from the 70’s and we had to first wash anything we used. The whole house smells like old musky nastiness. Even the BBQ was broken and just disgusting. It took me over an hour to clean it to feel comfortable using it. Then I had to drive down to the Fawnskin Market to buy a lighter, since the BBQ starter does not work. Just one thing after another.Additionally, part of the contract included a private dock, beach, and gazebo to enjoy the lake. Wrong, the beach and gazebo are over grown with weeds, and we were told the dock was not safe to use. The dock access went on for two days yes, no, yes no. There is much more to this story.Unfortunately for us, it was our 34th Anniversary. We feel let down and do not recommend this rental.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and please accept our most sincere apologies. First and foremost, we want to wish you a happy 34th Anniversary, though we are deeply saddened to hear that your stay with us fell so short of celebrating such a special milestone.
Your experience does not reflect the standard of hospitality we strive to provide. We are truly sorry for the cleanliness issues you encountered with the kitchen utensils and the BBQ, and that you had to spend your valuable vacation time cleaning them and driving to the market for a lighter. We are also deeply concerned to hear about the odor, the condition of the staircase, and the conflicting communication regarding the safety and availability of the private dock, beach, and gazebo.
Please be assured that your detailed comments have been shared directly with our teams so we can address the safety of the stairs and dock, evaluate the inventory, and investigate the overall condition of the home immediately.
We completely understand your disappointment and feel terrible that we let you down on your anniversary.
It was a very nice, roomy house with incredible views. A lot of stairs to climb , well worth the view . Two decks and the top one just incredible. The only downside was the upstairs shower we could not use.
