Cozy clean apartment with a great location
I was initially surprised by the small space in this unit, even though its square footage was included in its description. I quickly became comfortable here though, because it has a great location 3 blocks away from the heart and soul of the Pearl St Mall area. A few of my favorite restaurants were a 4 or 5 minute stroll away. The kitchen is very well-supplied with cupboards loaded with utensils, bowls and pans. Because the building is quite close to busy Canyon Ave, you might or might not mind the constant traffic noise out the side windows. The building itself and its neighborhood felt very safe and peaceful. I lived in this apartment during the peak of Boulder's warm summer, and when I found the fans inadequate, the landlady didn't hesitate to buy and install a great air conditioner for the bedroom to ensure my comfort. There is no tv, but this ended up being relaxing. The kitchen radio tuned to Boulder's eclectic radio selections was more fun than watching vexing news shows! The apt has a nice little deck where i enjoyed eating lunch and using the wi-fi. It's very close to the weekly farmer's market, the magical Boulder Creek, and many park areas. In addition to its proximity to the many amusements of Pearl St, it's only 10 or 11 blocks in the other direction from stores such as Trader Joe's, Safeway, Whole Foods, and other realities of American retailing. The surrounding neighborhoods are shady, historic, and quiet. It's very easy to live at this condo with just a bike. Boulder treats cyclists like royalty, with all its bike paths, trails, cut-away curbs, shortcuts and bylaws that prioritize bikers' safety. Chautaqua Park, where most of my hikes originated, is an invigorating uphill ride less than 2 miles away.
