Tranquil Boca Chica will entice you
The ocean views and other outdoor surroundings create an inviting atmosphere in Boca Chica. This relaxing city is known for its boating, local tours and aquarium. With a vacation rental, you get a home away from home—many rentals offer full kitchens and outdoor grills for some home cooking.
Experience ecotourism at its finest in Boca Chica
Most of the town's attractions are of the natural variety, so plan to get some fresh air at your Boca Chica vacation rental. The beaches and island-hopping are perennial favorites, and nearby Boquete is a popular spot for exploring Panama's famous coffee plantations. Parque Nacional Marino Golfo de Chiriqui is a sprawling marine park consisting of 24 islands that are home to abundant marine life. Trade the oceans for the rainforests at Monte Vida Park, where you'll find even more wildlife. Panama's highest point, Volcan Baru, is also nearby. You can even hike to the summit.
You'll have a whopper of a fish tale to tell
Given its origins as a fishing village, it will come as no surprise that fishing is still hugely popular in Boca Chica. Its sport fishing is world-renowned, and the town even hosts the Annual International Jigging and Popping Tournament for anglers around the world. If you'd rather kick back than work for your dinner, there are plenty of sailing excursions and boat cruises to show you around, as well as some prime diving and snorkeling spots. The beaches are great for spotting the migrating humpback whales. For an adrenaline rush, try whitewater rafting or a canopy tour.
Would you prefer wet or dry with your hot?
Temperatures tend to be fairly consistent all year round in Boca Chica. You'll see highs in the low 80s from June to December, and then in the mid-80s to low 90s from January to May. The real difference between the 2 halves of the year is the rain. The rainy season lasts from May to November, with the wettest months coming in the beginning of that span. The other half of the year is generally dry, and you'll see plenty of sunshine brightening your Boca Chica vacation rental.
You want nature? Boca Chica's got nature
Boca Chica is the opposite of big-city life. A tiny village with one paved road, there's plenty of nature dominating the landscape. The shores are lined with beaches, and the islands offshore are simply teeming with marine life. Back on land, you'll find everything from sandy beaches with palm trees, to estuaries, to shaded mangroves leading to the jungle. Once you're in the jungle, plan to encounter plenty of wildlife, from howler monkeys to toucans. Keep your eye out for dolphins and migrating humpback whales offshore.
