With pleasure, we welcome you to CRESCENDO, a world-class home of unparalleled excellence: classic elegance, like never before.

Only steps to the main village, and at the very corner of Hummingbird Run & Gondola Way, simply stated, Crescendo's location is second to none. Being embedded into the mountain's granite base and designed to be an extension of the mountain itself, Crescendo follows the mountain's contour through its split-level plan. Each 1/2 rotation about the spiralled staircase divides the front and back portions of each floor by six feet. In six very separate areas, then, Crescendo's three floors comfortably sleeps 22 adults.

This high-tech, environmentally friendly home, would simultaneously put a smile on the faces of Microsoft & Greenpeace. Computer-integrated audio/video is controllable from virtually every room, and geothermal energy heats every surface (garage inclusive).

The 12' x 16' pool is jetted, heats to Hot Tub temperatures, and is chlorine-free! With 1/2 of the pool indoors and 1/2 outdoors, one can access both areas without ever having to leave the water. The pool's outside perimeter, though, is heated to snow-melt temperatures. In addition to the massage jets, the pool hosts the SwimGym for stationary lap-pool swimming against a river-like current.

• Amenities
  • Air Conditioning : Geothermal energy heats (and cools, when needed) every surface (garage inclusive). Even the hot water heaters, the snow melt around the pool's perimter, and the 12' x 16' (chlorine-free) jacuzzi/pool heats to Hot Tub temperatures via geothermal energy. Both the heating and cooling are controlled in each room through the touchpanel located therein (email me for a picture of the touchpanel's thermostat screen).
  • Linens Provided : As you might imagine, Crescendo's linens are of the finest quality. The sheets are made from Egyptian Cotton and are 1000 thread-count. Every bed (wall-beds and sofa-beds, inclusive) have down comforters. Every bed and wall-bed also has down pillow toppers over the mattresses. Sadly, then, you may be less willing to get out of bed to go ski/board the next day.
  • Washer : An eight foot glass-block serpentine wall separates the laundry and ski-entrance hallway. Two commercial washers and two commercial dryers are in this separate laundry area. No need to wait for the 'whites' to wash before loading the 'darks'.
  • Dryer : Along with two commercial washers and two commercial dryers, the separate laundry area boasts enough custom cabinetry and counter space to fold and store everything after it is washed.
  • Garage : The garage is fully finished, as if it were part of the home's interior living space. The floor is geothermally heated; there are speakers in the walls for you to enjoy the whole-house audio/video experience. The garage is also equipped with a Professional Ping Pong table, a Nintendo Wii, an EFI Fitness PowerTower, and more.
  • Gas Fireplace : The 6' gas-jetted fireplace is spectacular: especially against the backdrop of the 28' wall of honed black quartzite-slate. No need to look for a match. On the touchpanel, just touch the 'fire on' button. Forget to turn it off? That's okay. When the motion detectors sense that no one has entered the room for a designated time, the house turns the fireplace off for you (by the way, the lighting works the same way).
• Beds
  • King Bed : A King Bed is in the master bedroom. This is the only King Bed in the home. Excepting the Twin beds in the two lofts (four Twins total), the other beds are Queens (including the wall-beds and sofa-beds). There is a triple dressor and a six-drawer chest in the master bedroom, as well.
  • Queen Bed : The two guest bedrooms mirror each other. Each has a Queen bed in the main area, and each has two Twin beds in separate lofts. There is a triple dressor in each main area, and each of the Twin beds have drawers underneath them.
  • Twin/Single Bed : Per the above, there are two lofts: one in each of the two Guest Bedrooms. Each loft has two Twin beds (four total), and each Twin bed has drawers underneath.
  • Convertible Bed : There are three queen sleeper-sofas, in three very separate areas: Games Room, Theatre Room, Great Room. With down comforters and 1000 thread-count Egyptian Cotton sheets, they are quite comfortable.
  • Murphy Bed : The Theatre Room is, perhaps, the best room in the house (well, the Great Room is pretty spectacular). It houses the 110" HDTV from which via the touchpanels (and hidden DVdj) hundreds of DVD movies can be selected and viewed in 7.1 surround sound. The bar in the Theatre Room (can seat 6 people) is fully equipped, with double-sink, dishwasher,ice-maker, mini-fridge, convection/microwave, and small appliances (drink blender, coffee maker). Bedding in this room includes a Queen sleeper-couch, and three Queen Wall-Beds (Murphy Beds). Each Wall-Bed is custom made, and comes with its own cabinetry (drawers and closetry to hang clothing). Each has a down pillow topper over the mattress, and a down comforter. Oh yes, the sheets are 1000-count Egyptian Cotton, as well.
• Entertainment
  • Jetted Tub in Bath : The entire top floor is dedicated solely to the Master Suite. In concert with its unobstructed view of the Monashee Mountains, the Master Suite is both private and serene. Separated only by glass, the ensuite’s AirBath overlooks the living room and captures the breath-taking views as well. Combined with its hot-spring effect created by heated air-bubble jets, the Master Suite is truly a retreat on its own.
  • Private Hot Tub : The 12' x 16' pool is jetted, heats to Hot Tub temperatures, and is chlorine-free! With 1/2 of the pool indoors and 1/2 outdoors, one can access both areas without ever having to leave the water. The pool's outside perimeter, though, is heated to snow-melt temperatures.   • Cable/Satellite TV : Crescendo is a 'Smart Home', with fully-automated computerized/integrated lighting, security, audio, and video. There are six LCD TVs (one 40", four 26", one 17")- including one in the garage and one in the kitchen - and each have their own DVD players for viewing any DVD you may bring (see below, though, as there is no need to bring or rent any DVD movie). In the Theatre Room, there is a 110" (it is really big) screen via an HDTV BenQ projector. 7.1 surround sound will send chills up your spine.
  • DVD
  • Video Library : In addition to the six DVD players that are part of each TV, and in addition to the THX DVD player in the Theatre Room, four 400-DVD disc players have been integrated into the whole-house video system. Your kids have capitalized on the Theatre Room, and you don't want to watch the movie they selected? That's okay. Via a DVdj, more than 200 DVDs can be accessed by any of the touchpanels, and streamed to the TV in any room. Four different DVDs can be played in the house at the same time. Also, as the sound streams from the speakers embedded into the walls in each of those rooms, the viewing experience throughout the house is enchanting.
  • Video Game Console : We provide a Nintendo Wii, with a variety of games.
  • Video Games : Several Wii games have been provided. You may, though, choose to bring along some of your favorites, as well. We also have a Bumper Pool table, a Poker table, and a professional Ping Pong table.
  • Stereo System
  • Music Library : The whole-house integrated sound system includes three XM Satellite Audio subscriptions. Not sufficient to satisfy your audio-file needs? Bring along your personal iPod, and plug it into the iPod dock in the kitchen. Crescendo's computerized audio system will read the meta-data from your iPod, and you (and others) can then access the music from any of the touchpanels throughout the home.
  • Ping Pong/Table Tennis
  • Private Pool : When you arrive, the pool will be heated to a comfotable temperature (about 97 degrees Fahrenheit), which is inteneded to allow you to spend extended periods of enjoyment without being overwhelmed by the heat of a typical jacuzzi. Want it hotter? Via the touchpanel in that room, you may turn-up the juice to your liking (and up to Jacuzzi temperatures).
• Kitchen
  • Full Kitchen : The kitchen is a gourmet chef's dream. There is an 8-burner commercial Viking Cook Top (with built-in griddle); a Viking double convection-oven; a Viking convection-microwave; two Miele dishwashers; Sub-Zero refrigerator/freezer; and trash-compacter. Don't want to cook? Just ask, and we can arrange a chef to come and cook for you.
  • Cooking Utensils Provided : Everything is provided - including coffee grinder, coffe maker, blender, mixer, and more. Don't find something you need? Please tell us, so we can have there for your future enjoyment.
  • Refrigerator : SubZero fridge/freezer, with integrated facing to blend into the cabinetry.
  • Dishwasher : There are two Miele dishwashers in the kitchen: both with integrated facing to blend into the cabinetry. Super quiet!
  • Microwave : Viking convection-microwave.
  • Ice Maker
  • Catering Available : From ground up, Crescendo was designed as an executive retreat. The Theatre Room is equipped with PowerPoint presentation capability for Corporate presentations, and Crescendo's features allow for the ultimate entertainment and/or relaxation environment. Therefore, we have scouted the finest chefs and catering in the area, and would be happy to arrange Crescendo to meet virtually any of your specialized needs/events.
• Outdoor Features
  • Gas/Electric BBQ Grill : Integrated into the home's propane-gas system. No propane tanks to refill.
  • Deck/Patio : Three sets of outdoor speakers are strategically located, so that you may enjoy the audio experience on our decks and patios. For slopeside events (e.g., weddings), we provide a wireless microphone, and activate those speakers.
• View/Location
  • Mountain View : Unprecedented, unobstructed, breathtaking views of the ski-run and the Monashee Mountains beyond, via 28' floor-to-ceiling glass walls are to die for: especially from the Great Room, the Dining Room, the Master Bedroom, and the Master Bathroom.
  • Ski-In : Crescendo's location is truly second to none. It is almost a stone's throw to the main Village, and literally at the corner of Hummingbird/Woodcutter Run and Gondola Way. Ski right from the slope into Crescendo's breeze-way. Take off your skis/boards and lock them in the heated locker at the ski-entrance to the home. Need to work on your board? There is a work-bench in the ski-locker, and we've provided tools for your convenience.
  • Ski-Out : Custom cabinetry at the ski-entrance door allows you to hang-up all of your coats, goggles, helmets, and more. Sit while you tighten those boots, and then head-out to the ski-locker to grab your skis/poles/boards. A few more steps, and you will have a decision to make. Do you go left and ski down to the Plaza Chair, to the Ridge Rocket Chair, or to the Snow Ghost Chair? Or, do you ski right and ski to the Gondola at Happy Valley?
• Communications
  • Telephone : Telephone service is provided by the Vonage internet phone. Therefore, long-distance is free to most places: Canada, US, UK, inclusive. Also, your friends can call you by accessing either a Canada or US exchange, as Crescendo has two international phone numbers for your/their convenience.
  • Free Long Distance
  • Broadband Internet : There is more than 6 miles of wire that runs through Crescendo. Yes, CAT5e has been run throughout, so you may connect directly to the internet (provided for free) in most places throughout the home.
  • WiFi (Wireless Internet) : In addition to a direct connection, you may also connect to the internet wirelessly. You will find wireless available everywhere throughout the home, as repeater signals have been set-up on each floor. Crescendo's SSID and Network Security Key will be provided to you before you arrive.
• Other Amenities
  • In addition to all that has been described above, Crescendo has a fitness area as well. Among the fitness amenities is the TotalGym PowerTower. This specialized equipment is meant for the true athlete, and is used by many of the best Physical Therapists as well. Video instruction (yes, accessed through the touchpanels) is provided on the equipment's use. Work-out bands and video instruction and video work-outs are provided as well.
• Suitability
  • No Pets Allowed : We love animals. However, even our own min-pin (Jasper) is left at home in the States, and has never had a foot (okay, a paw) in Crescendo. Crescendo is set-up for everyone's enjoyment: including those who are are allergic to animals. Please honor, then, our 'No Pet' policy.
  • Kid Friendly : We also love children, and have tried to make Crescendo as enjoyable for them. Board games and card games (including my family's favorites - Sorry and Uno) are available to you/them. Also, to make Crescendo safe, from the inside of the home the pool/jacuzzi can only be accessed via specially-designed Key Fobs. We have Key Fobs that can allow your child to unlock the doors to the ski-locker and to the home, but will not unlock the door to the pool/jacuzzi area.
