Enjoy cooking in our spacious, fully equipped Bistro style kitchen, or order in and go straight for the Jacuzzi bathtub in its own private bathhouse. Watch a movie while cuddled up in the comfortable living room. Enjoy a peaceful night's sleep in our luxurious beds. In the morning awake to the sounds of the local birds as they play in the surrounding fern forest. Have your coffee on one of our three lanais (decks) while you decide on which adventure to do for the day.
Our cottage lends itself to anyone looking for a truly peaceful, relaxing getaway. Whether it's finishing that novel, sketching, playing guitar in the morning sun, enjoying the sounds of the forest with a glass of wine, or simply doing nothing, our cottage is definitely for you!
We are the Dennis family. Mike and Carol Dennis with our son Cory and his wife Kristen. We have lived here on the Big Island of Hawaii for many years. We love travel, art, music, and nature, and hope this is reflected in "Fern Tree Hideaway".
Having stayed at many Inns ourselves throughout the years, we know from experience that it's the little things that make a big difference. We have a personal interest in making sure our cottage is a true haven for you.
As a family we personally remodeled and decorated Fern Tree Hideaway and plan to keep it in the family for years to come. We love this cottage and want to share it with you!

$110 per nt if you stay one week.$120 for 3 nights or more.$140 for 2 nts.
Rate stated is for two guests. Additional guest will be $10 each/nt.
50% of total stay due Upon Booking to Hold Reservation.
Balance Due Upon Arrival.
Cleaning Fee is a One Time Charge of $45.
11.45% Hawaii GE & Accommodation Tax Will Be Added.
All credit card transactions are processed through Pay Pal.

We're back in California (22 degrees this AM) but still feel like we're on Kona time. Although we wrote a little in your guestbook, it's entirely inadequate to describe how much we appreciated your little hideaway. We stayed in 3 rental homes during our stay, and Fern Tree was by far the best...not only because of the house plan and location, but also your attention to details and comforts.

From the minute we arrived my 18 year old son said"I love this place!" and ran around looking in every nook and cranny. He wished he could buy it and stay forever. We echo his excitement......The little touches here and there,star gazing from the decks...sadly we are off to a condo in Kona that will not compare to this cozy cottage.Thank you for everything.

Beautiful cottage with nice arts & crafts and rustic details,great use of antique windows,lots and lots of windows framing the lovely forest. Great kitchen, and large deck!Very clean.
