You walk into the house through a beautiful wooden door with stain glass. When you arrive in your appartement your breath is taken away by the view of the meadows, the whole valley and the West Maui Mountains. You have the same view from the bathroom and downstairs from the living room and kitchen. The place is decorated with taste, everything natural, all beautiful wood details and floors. In addition to that a wonderful kitchen with everything you have at home. Outside you smell the Eukalyptus trees and you get and education about a lot of herbs, which are used for Aromatherapy. Also you can have a treatment right there and a message in the spa. Not to mention the wonderful owners Doreena and Tom.

We are filled with gratitude for the privilege of being able to stay in such a beautiful home in such a spectacular place. We feel so well cared for by all of the thoughtful touches, wonderful scents, beautiful sights and incredible peace created here. Our trip was filled with delights and connections to the spirit of the island. Amazing dawns, rainbows, sunsets, shooting stars, red moon, lightening, goats, turtles, dolphins, waterfalls, fierce oceans, gentle coves, beautiful beaches, warm tubs...We hope we may return again and again, Mahalo! We spent three nights in September at the Grand Villa, and highly recommend it to anyone looking for relaxation. The house has comfort, style, views and prime location. Doreena is a wonderfully helpful and accommodating hostess. Cujo, the canine mascot is adorable. We got massages, enjoyed the pool and hot tub, and spent the few days exploring Haleakala, Kula, and upcountry Maui. If you are going to fully enjoy Maui, do yourself a favor and stay here a few nights before heading to the (more commercial and crowded) beach areas of West or South Maui. We truly arrived as guests and left feeling like friends. We will return again soon!

A Building Block for Great Memories

The Grand Villa at the Aromatherapy Foundation of Maui was chosen for our summer family vacation spanning three generations with age ranging from 11 to 75 years old. The house is very well equipped including a large kitchen with ample working space; 60” plus large screen TV; tons of fresh linens and towels; coolers, chairs and toys for the beach; use of washer/dryer and much more. Although the house is up country, it is actually very centrally located meaning we could reach the shopping in Kahului (Costco and Wal Mart) and Paia in less than 30 minutes; the beaches in Wailea in less than an hour and Kapalua in just over an hour. The magnificent sight, the sound of nature and the aroma all combined with the comfort offered by the house thus enabling each family member to fully enjoy our time together. Being able to truly live in the moment - are great memories not made of these?

This place was perfect for our precious three generation family reunion. Of all the places we have stayed on Maui, this one now tops our list! It has lots of room, was luxurious, clean, beautifully decorated and the views were truly spectacular. We will always remember all the meals together in the big dining area and out on the deck and watching the pink and golden sunsets over the ocean. It was convenient to visit all the different and fun beaches and places on the island and coming 'home' was always the best part. Our group of 10 highly recommends it and we will return and tell our friends about it.

This place was definitely worth the long and winding drive upcountry. It was so beautiful, quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. The views were spectacular and the property was very large and comfortable. The aromatics made the entire stay feel like a spa. My only critique is on the pool; no heater and it drops to the 60s at night so it was way too cold to swim. We will definitely come back to this home again and maybe even try the smaller cottages on the property as well.

This property is wonderful! It was spotless and brand new with better than hotel amenities. The bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen exceeded our expectations and you can see the beauty of the pool, patio and grounds from the photos! The owners are great and were very helpful. We love the area and would stay there again.....
