A Magical Weekend in the Woods!

My husband and I chose to "get away" this year for our birthdays (they are back to back in Feb.) so we chose to rent a cabin and vacation with the dogs. This location was ideal for us! We enjoyed the DVD collection, beautiful cabin, the hot tub, and just up the road we took a nice snow shoe adventure! What a perfect weekend! The owners thought of everything to make our stay comfortable! The cabin is nice and private! Perfectly ideal! The ONLY downside is the well water. Sometimes tastes great and sometimes tastes like iron. If you're picky (like me) bring some bottled water. That's the ONLY thing that I didn't LOVE! We'll be back to visit soon I hope!!!!

The house is just off Route 2, and hidden amongst the trees. There is ample space for dinner and in the kitchen, and the rooms came exactly as advertised. The hot tub was a great fit for 6 guests, and the location between Stevens Pass and Leavenworth was fantastic. We were only there for the weekend, and would love to go back and take more time!

The cabin was perfect for our group with three small children. It is spacious and gorgeous. It has everything you need and more. Leavenworth is only a short drive away, as well as Stevens Pass. The are plenty of things to do. We stayed at cabins all over Washington, but never in winter. I was such a blast to come to the beautiful winter wonderland and be able to stay in such an amazing place. It really felt like home.

Enjoyed our stay at this house. Easy in and out with the keypad entry on the door. Very cozy in the winter with the wood burning stove. It was great having our labrador with us for once on a trip. There was some noise from the road and the train, but nothing that prevented us from sleeping or relaxing. Property was as described or better. Photos are slightly out of date, but I found the appearance better than the photos.

Newer cabin with lots of great amenities (outdoor patio with hot tub, lots of kitchen accessories, large TV in living room w/ surround sound, lots of DVDs & bored games, lots of parking, dog friendly). It's obvious the owner takes pride providing guests as many resources to have a great relaxing stay as possible. Only cons are the proximity of the cabin to the highway. When you're outside car traffic can be a little noisy. That being said, the cabin itself is very quiet, and secluded behind lots of trees, so it doesn't feel close as close to the highway as it really is.

Although I had reviewed the pictures of the cabin prior to booking, I was still pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and cozy feel of this well furnished cabin upon arrival. Tip: If you're a light sleeper bring ear plugs or turn on the bathroom fan at night because you may hear the freight train passing nearby. There is no wifi, cable tv or phone...so bring books and dvd's if you plan to spend much time in the cabin. Definitely would be a cozy and relaxing cabin in the winter months with the wood stove and hot tub for use.

Awesome 3-day getaway

This past weekend, my family and I took off for a three-day getaway and stayed at the Der Hoffway Haus cabin in Leavenworth. This house was wonderful. All the necessities were available in this home from towels, pots and pans, kitchen utensils, coffee, salt and pepper, detergent and dryer sheets to wash clothes, all the way down to makeup removal wipes. We took off during the day and came home in the evening for quiet, family time either spent playing games (which were located in the cabinet) or relaxing in the hot tub. The cabin is located in a woodsy area near a creek, 20 minutes away from the town of Leavenworth, a few miles from Lake Wenatchee/Fish Lake, and about 25 or so miles from Stevens Pass. It was a great location. We definitely recommend it to anybody looking for great place to stay. We plan to be back for the Christmas lighting in Leavenworth later this year.

My husband and I stayed at the cabin for our 18th anniversary. It was a getaway that was a home away from home. Everything that we needed was already stocked in the cabin. My husband and I were able to get a much needed rest and concentrate on just the two of us. The hot tub was very relaxing, the temperature was perfect. We drove into Leavenworth where they were celebrating Maifest (Begining of Spring) It was so much fun. We really had a beautiful time. Thank you!

Dec. 27 Thank you for providing such a warm and cozy cabin. All the amenities and personal touches were great! We had a wonderful Christmas here, something we will treasure for a long time to come.
