Bethany Beach, Delaware is one of the Quiet Resorts. Located in southern Delaware it has a unique charm. There are family friendly attractions and an oceanfront boardwalk and bandstand with free concerts throughout the summer season. The beaches are guarded from Memorial day to Labor day. This is the perfect secluded getaway cottage and yet it is only three blocks from the beach and within walking distance of one of the best crab houses at the shore. Nestled on a quiet street, here you can relax and recharge your batteries. There is an over-sized screened porch on the front for cookouts or for that book you want to read or a game of ping pong. In the back a spacious deck surrounds a 4 foot deep pool for the kids or for lounging, you may never go to the beach. Our cottage features four bedrooms (one on the first floor and three bedrooms up). Two bedrooms feature queen sized beds and two bedrooms have a double bed down and a single bed bunk on top. There is a full bath on each floor. There are two queen sized sleep sofas. We will furnish all linens and towels. You only need to bring your beach towels.
With two separate decks and a large screened porch, everyone can find the best spot to relax and fill their needs. On the second floor there is an outdoor deck with seating for eight of more with a table and umbrella for shade. On the first floor you will find an over-sized screened in porch with a table for 6 or more and ample seating to enjoy a meal outdoors or relax with a good book. At the rear of the cottage is 20 foot fiberglass pool surrounded by a spacious deck with chairs and a lounge for sunbathing or a nap. You can wander to the beach or enjoy numerous books, board games or cards. Four beach chairs are provided. For a rainy day you will find five DVD players and five VCR's and six televisions, a DVD library and VCR library. There is a large cement parking pad in the front that can accommodate up eight vehicles back to back or two side rows of four.
Bethany has a public library, with lending privileges for vacationers. It also conducts frequent children's activities and a wide variety of books and videos that can be borrowed by the week. Bethany has one of the nicest beaches in Delaware and is perfect for the after dinner stroll. For ice cream you can walk our boardwalk or attend the nightly musical entertainment. Fishing is permitted with a permit during the early morning hours. Nearby in the town of Rehoboth you will find many outlet malls for shopping as well as night spots and amusement parks. Ocean City, Maryland is about a 30 minute drive to the south with all it's attractions. There are numerous public golf courses within 20 minutes of the cottage. Charter boat fishing, wind surfing, swimming, clamming, kayaking, jet skiing, sailing, sport fishing, beachcombing, surfing, shelling, miniature golf and windsurfing are all available in the area. Dining, from casual to fine dining, is available everywhere. You can eat in a different restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday of your visit and never go to the same place twice.

- Large wooded lot for shade and comfort. There is a horse shoe game on right side of home. Bicycle stand for 8 bikes. We are located on a quiet cul-de-sac so we have very little traffic noise and yet you can walk to shopping and restaurants and the beach.

Hi, I am a native of Delaware, but have lived in Maryland, Pennsylvania and Florida. I am semi-retired, whatever that means, and manage our properties in Delaware and Florida. I will meet at our home on your arrival and walk you through show you where the circuit breakers are and answer any questions you may have about restaurants, shopping, movies, etc.. We know your time is limited and we want you to have a wonderful trouble free time, that's why we are hands on.
Why the Owner Chose Private Homes, Undesignated
This was our original beach cottage in Fenwick Island and we moved it to this lot that we owned in Bethany 6 years ago and redid it and added the decks and swimming pool. We always loved it and we hope you will too and return to be part of our "family".
The Unique Benefits of this House
We are in the best part of Bethany, we are on a quiet street with very little traffic and yet close to everything. Depending on the time of year the woods next door are full of lighting bugs to almost light your way. If you want to read a book you can, play horseshoes, you can, swim in your own pool, you can, ride a bike, you can, go for a walk, you can, shop, you can, go fishing, you can, play golf, you can, play tennis, you can, go to the beach, you can. In short, if you can think of it, it is probably nearby. Have a wonderful, restful vacation.

My family & I were looking for a cozy, warm place to spend with our family over the holidays, we found that & then some!!! From the moment we walked in we knew we had found the perfect house with it’s warm & welcoming charm. It was very clean, well maintained & plenty of space with room to spare. Every amenity you would ever need, a fully equipped kitchen with all appliances including a dishwasher!!!!! A washer & dryer, 4 bedrooms, (we counted it could sleep up to 16 people I think.) 2 full bathrooms, a piano, tons of games, movies, books, puzzles, a ping pong table, a TV with cable & DVD player in every room, Wi-Fi, a shed full of bicycles to ride to the beach, an in ground pool with a large yard & plenty of privacy!!!! A deck off of every level with tables & chairs to accommodate everyone. A screened-in porch & a huge paved drive-way with plenty of space for multiple vehicles & pets are allowed too!!!! All of this nestled on a quaint, private road tucked away among the tree’s, 5 blocks off the beach front & board walk!!!! Walking distance to stores & great restaurants, if you are looking for convenient, comfortable, cozy place to spend your vacation or just a weekend away from it all, look no further…..This is the one!!!!! We were all so sad to end our week & head home, we had such a great holiday & a great week!!! So much so that we have decided to make this a “family holiday tradition”. We are already in the process of reserving the same week for next year & can‘t wait to get back. To all who take my advice and reserve this property……. ENJOY!!!!!!! You will not be disappointed!!!!!! We had 6 adults & one child & were quite comfortable. We especially loved the sitting room upstairs with a TV & all the bedrooms have a TV. We enjoyed the upper deck for sunshine & lower deck for breakfast. We really enjoyed played ping pong and walking the few blocks to Bethany Beach. One morning we saw Dolphins!! the beach even had a swing set for my niece. October is perfect,weather was beautiful & no parking fees. The neighborhood is very quiet & we enjoyed serenity, tranquil days. The owner was extremely accommodating,providing prompt replies with any questions we may have had. We will surely return, Thank you Dave for your hospitality.

I needed a place to stay for a weekend beach wedding. Brought my two dogs with me, everything was great. There are two living rooms, one on each level. The owner met us there and he was wonderful, no problems. The neighbors were very friendly and quiet. There are loads of books, games, multiple T.V's, an outside grill, sound system, phone, ping pong table, bikes, etc.I loved it and cant wait to return.

We had a great week at the beach, even though we ran into a few chilly nights. The pool is wonderful, however the water was ice cold. We managed to get into it only one afternoon. The house is a little small for a lot of people, and the spiral staircase is hard to navigate for small children and senior citizens, we had both in our party, so they had to be very careful going up and down. Loved having the linens right there to use, excellent perk. Bunk beds were very comfortable and the tv's in each bedroom are GREAT. Neighbors were very friendly and owner was more than accomodating with instructions on tv and pool. Front door lock needs to be looked at. We found it easier just to keep it open instead of playing with the keys to lock and unlock it every time we left. The house was very clean and neat and the books and DVD's were great choices if you had bad weather. Overall, I liked the house and would think about renting it again, however, it would be too crowded for all en of us.Couch upstairs was not a good pick for a nights sleep and it was too squashed fo open the couch downstairs. Best fit for 6 to 8 people.

Just got home from spending a wonderful week in this lovely beach home. The location is easy walking distance to the beach but with the pool on your back deck, you will be tempted to spend all of your time there. Owner is very responsive and pleasant to work with. Neighbors are lovely people. Overall a wonderful time was had by all.
