Luxurious 2,300 sq. ft. 3 bedroom, 2 bath designer home nestled in the foothills just above Clearlake with wrap around deck, jetted tub, gourmet kitchen and stunning lake views from throughout the house. Located just off scenic Highway 20 offering spectacular views of Clear Lake and Mount Konocti. Near many of Clear Lake's growing local wineries and tasting rooms.
COMPLIMENTARY KAYAKS FOR GUEST USE. One single kayak (8 foot sit-on-top, light weight - can also be tranported in bed of truck or rooftop), one tandem kayak (12 foot sit-on-top two-person) and kayak trailer to transport kayaks to desired destination on the lake. Kayak paddles and adults sized life vests provided. Suggested kayaking locations: Rodman Slough, Rattlesnake Island, Cache Creek and Clear Lake State Park.
Ideal for fisherman, just three minutes away from free public boat launch, with plenty of space for parking boat and trailer. Boat slips availabe at Holiday Harbor Marina 15 minutes away for $8/night or $20/week. Home has a garage and basement to park cars and store belongings. Plenty of local fishing guides nearby for those not familiar with Clear Lake, not experienced with bass fishing, or that do not have a boat. Clear Lake is a great place for hiking. Explore trails at Anderson Marsh State Park, Clear Lake State Park and Mt. Konocti.

ABOUT LAKE COUNTY AND CLEARLAKE
Clear Lake is the largest natural freshwater lake in the State of California and second oldest lake in the world! Visitors enjoy fishing, swimming, sailing, wind surfing, parasailing, water-skiing, boating, and riding jet skis. There are 11 free boat launch ramps around the lake, and individuals can rent boats and personal watercraft from many local businesses. Clear Lake can be found in beautiful Lake County, approximately 90 minutes northwest of Sacramento and 90 minutes northeast of San Francisco. For thirteen consecutive years Lake County has had the cleanest air in all of California. Winters are mild here, generally 40s and 50s and Summer temperatures are usually in the 80s and 90s.
The lake itself is truly magnificent. It stretches nearly twenty miles in length and includes over 100 miles of shoreline. Considered a “warm water” lake, the bass fishing is unrivaled as witnessed by the many fishing tournaments held here annually. Professional fishing organizations such as BassMasters, W.O.N. Bass, Angler’s Choice, American Bass, West Coast Bass, and FLW, to name just a few, are regular participants. The record large mouth bass caught out of this lake weighed a whopping 17.52 pounds!
Please note that as Clear Lake is a healthy, nutrient rich lake, it is susceptible to algae blooms during periods of warm temperatures, particularly in mid-August, which some guests find unpleasant to swim in. As the weather cools the algae dissapears and Fall brings clearer water to the Lake. If swimming is one of your primary reasons for visiting Clear Lake, we encourage you to visit in the Spring, early Sumer, or early Fall. Summer is an excellent time of year for bass and catfish fishing, kayaking, boating, wine tasting, exporing Lake County or just relaxing and enjoying the outdoors.

Dave and Christy, Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed your house last weekend. The Eagle's Nest is so spacious - as the previous reviews say, the pictures don't do it justice. The kitchen is lovely and well-equiped. The beds are so comfortable. And the views are fantastic! It was wonderful and I would recommend your house highly. The photos don't do this home justice. It's beautiful and extremely roomy. My two sisters, mother and I never felt crowded. The openness of the living room, dining room and kitchen made it possible for us to be together while pursuing different activities. The entry steps were a bit of a challenge for Mom, but once inside she was very comfortable. Thank you Christy and Dave.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with teenagers.

Hi Dave, Just wanted to say, thank you again! The home was fabulous the weather held up for me and we could not have had a better time. The pictures were good but it served the property no justice. Plenty of open space and I cannot say enough about the views. No need to call about anything the information and instructions you provide in the home is very detailed and answers any question you may have. The only hang up we had was trying to close the lockbox again, while its not rocket science it took two of us to figure it out. Lot of laughter but we got it closed. Entering the house was like the beginning of a great dream.The lakeview home was huge, beautiful & well furnished. The ads understate the great views and immense size. Everything was waiting for us and the family reunion was great. Wish we didn't have to leave. The spa tub was perfect. We watched turkeys from the balcony. Everyone had room in the garage. The kitchen was super. Renting both houses was a great choice. How soon can we return?Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers.
