"By The Bay" is centrally located, only 200 feet from the spectacular rocky shoreline & within easy walking distance to all of Depoe Bay. We are located just across Hwy.101 from the very popular "Tidal Raves" ocean front restaurant & Public park. "Wing Wa" Chinese restaurant and lounge is next door to the north. There are other personal homes to the south and the main part of town.
Enjoy Whale watching, either from your townhome, or with any one of the many fine charter boats docked in the world's smallest navigable harbor. The US Coast Guard is stationed in Depoe Bay.
They often practice thier emergency manouvers in full view from our rentals.
Depoe Bay is known as the Whale watching capital of the Oregon Coast, and features the famous "Spouting Horn", (especially active during the Winter months), located right at the Sea Wall. Look out! You'll get wet! Enjoying the amazing everchanging wave action on the rocky shoreline can be exciting, and also very theraputic.
We have added a new 16' Ocean View deck on the southern, wind protected side of the building, a new 6' privacy fence, enclosing the large private parking area, four big screen LCD TVs, Wii consel with Wii Fit & other games, a Kenmore, gas grill & we have upgraded the PCs & added WiFi Internet. There are two bedrooms plus a loft for extra sleeping area. One King and two queen-size beds. Sleeps six comfortably. Best suited for adults. NO SMOKING and NO PETS please. - Depoe Bay offers seasonal deep sea fishing and Whale watching from any one of the many fine charter boats, located in the worlds smallest navagable harbor Or you can enjoy the Whales from your vacation home. The charter boats always come into our view area to watch the whales. US Coast Guard is stationed in Depoe Bay. Miles of sandy beaches are just minutes away, both North and South, Driftwood, agate and shell hunting. The area features many nature trails, fresh water lake & reservoirs, four golf courses, Movie and Live theaters, Major grocery stores, Wal Mart, Bi-Mart, Fred meyer, national outlet mall, Two tribal casinos nearby, Newport with its' scenic Yaquina Bay, bridge and historic waterfront, Oregon Coast Aquarium, Hatfield, Marine Science Center, The new NOAA location, US Coast Guard station & worlds of other attractions with wonderful restaurants everywhere.
Rate Details (In US Dollars)
$100-$120/night for up to 4 people. A 3 night minimum stay is
required. $20 for each extra person per day. $600-$720/wk,$2400-$2880/Mo.
Weekly rates reflect 7th day free. Rates are subject to a 9% room tax.
Payment in full is required to secure a reservation. For 2 or more wks.,
1/2 in advance with balance due 1 mo. before arrival.
There is no cleaning fee as long as check out proceedures are followed.
Should a cancellation become necessary, we require at least 2
weeks notification for a full refund, less a $50 service fee.

We fell in love with the unique ocean view from this City center location. The ever changing wave action on the rocky formation jutting out into the Ocean creates some spectacular, ever changing year round entertainment.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome
You never know what each new day will bring as you look out onto the Ocean. You will see Whales & all kinds of sea birds. Sometimes there will be flocks of Pellicans, usually lots of Sea Gulls. One thing for sure, the scene changes daily.

I had a great long weekend at "By the Bay" The house is lovely and feels very much like a home away from home. Visiting in the middle of December, the beautiful view of the ocean from the front room allowed me to enjoy the ocean without having the brave the cold. And with all of the DVDs and the TVs, everyone was able to pick their own entertainment. I came down to get away and relax before the last holiday week and took a quick 3 day trip. With shopping and sightseeing available just around the corner, and a trip to the Outlet Mall on Saturday, I had just the recharging weekend I needed. Thanks for the great weekend!

We had the most wonderful two weeks in your rental. Very clean and comfortable, everything you need for a relaxing getaway. Walt was so helpful and so nice. We walked to town and great nearby restaurants. The view was the best. It was everything the listing said and much more. We will be going back soon.

We stayed at "By the Bay" for 3 nights and enjoyed it to the fullest. It is a very beautiful place to stay at with a good rate. The home was clean and tidy with all the amenities like at home and even more. The view from the deck, kitchen & living area is wonderful and you can hear the waves crashing in the distance. Walt & Vicki were very helpful as they left us a nice letter with some great tips for nearby sights and things to do. My husband and I had the most relaxing and fabulous time at this vacation home. The beautiful ocean views and cosyness of the house really made us not want to leave after spending our time there, although we chose to stay there during the winter season, this did not bother us, it was still very enjoyable to be there. Walt & Vicky, Thank you for allowing Doug and I to spend the most wonderful week at your place in Depot Bay. From the moment we walked in we knew we had made the correct decision by picking By The Bay to rent. Your location in perfect for branching out, and allowed us to have a consistent place to lay our heads at night, while still being able to go out each day and see the surrounding areas. From whale watching to tide pool gazing to walking the beaches--there wasn't anything we couldn't do. And as was obvious by our constantly extending our time at By The Bay, we really didn't want to come home. Plans are to return next year and bring our family to enjoy the area as well.
