We can only recommend this lovely address, a perfect location in San Francisco. The apartment is fully equipped, extremely practical and so nicely decorated: you feel at home from the very first moment you get in! We loved our stay! Pour les européens que nous sommes, nous avons particulièrement apprécié que l'appartement soit vraiment équipé de tout, très bien tenu et la déco très personnalisée. Les propriétaires Ave et Doris ont été d'une extrême gentillesse et de bon conseil. Il faut juste avoir de bonnes jambes car la maison est presqu'au sommet de la colline Telegraph Hill (il y a aussi le bus 39 qui s'arrête en face), mais l'on sent vite ses efforts récompensés par les magnifiques vues dont on jouit depuis les fenêtres de l'appartement. Par ailleurs la situation est formidable, à 100 mètres de Washington Place en plein quartier North Beach (plein de bons restos et de boutiques sympa), très proche de Fisherman's Wharf et à 20 minutes à pied de Downtown. Un vrai 5 étoiles ;-)

I spent a month in Apartment 2 and loved every moment of my stay. The apartment is true to the excellent reviews - it is spotless and the furnishings are very modern. Everything you need is in the apartment so all I needed to do was to pick up some groceries and I was set! I love cooking and the fully furnished kitchen was the highlight of my stay. The apartment is located in a very quiet, safe neighborhood and Ave was very kind and helpful throughout my stay. The number 39 bus does stop on the corner so it is very easy to get to Fisherman's Wharf, Coit Tower and Pier 39. You can always transfer to the number 30 or 45 bus on Columbus if you want to get to Union Square. Although San Francisco is a blast (You need to check out Wayfare Tavern and Benu for the best cuisine!), do make time to visit the wine country (Yountville, Sonoma, St.Helena) to check out the fantastic restaurants (Bouchon, French Laundry, Redd, Ad Hoc, Bistro Jeanty) and the wonderful wine tasting (Schramsburg, Chandon, Opus One, Joseph Phelps etc). You can get a very detailed booklet(with map and numbers for reservations) and awesome coupons from the Visitor's Center in Yountville.

I always enjoy my stay at Ave and Doris'. The listed description and photos are accurate, condition of the apartment always spotless, and in excellent condition. Each time I return, some upgrade has been made which makes each stay even more comfortable from the year previous. The apartment has always been well-furnished and comfortable so the additions have been extremely pleasing and convenient (e.g. wireless internet, washer/dryer, flat screen TV). Additionally, the owners are always available and wonderful to work with!

We have stayed with Ave and Doris a month every summer for four years. Everything the reviews say are so accurate! We cannot say enough about the views, the apartment cleanliness, the quiet, convenient location, the easy parking! There must be at least 50 restaurants within walking distance to try. But what amazes us every year is Ave and Doris' attention to detail. They make improvements like the washer/dryer, a flat screen high def TV and WiFi. This apartment is as close to perfection as you could ever get! They put our names on the mailbox so we can get mail. They have charcoal in the apartment because they know we like to grill. They have the bookshelves stocked with guide books and San Francisco themed movies. One year we accidently locked ourselves out and Ave was there in ten minutes to rescue us. Our San Francisco yearly vacation is the best we can imagine. It is all due to this 5-Star apartment and Ave and Doris. This is better than the any 5-Star Hotel, trust us!!!

Fantastic apartment in a great neighborhood! The apartment is well maintained with many amenities which made my stay very comfortable and an enjoyable home: free wireless internet, thick bath towels, a well-stocked kitchen, fireplace, garage parking, and secured entry to the building. It's convenient city living, yet quiet at night as it is situated in a residential neighborhood. The owners are always available to answer any questions I had. I definitely would recommend this property to others and look forward to my next stay. Thank you Ave and Doris!

We spent a month in apartment #3 in November, and had a wonderful time - it was hard to leave. The lovely apartment has everything you could need, and is ideally situated. Yes, it is at the top of the hill, but there is a bus stop right outside the door, and the views more than compensate. We could walk almost everywhere we wanted to go from the apartment, and found the bus service very easy to use, as well as inexpensive. Thank you Ave and Doris for making our visit so enjoyable. We will definitely recommend this apartment to family and friends, and hope to see you again ourselves.

As the song goes, “we left our heart in San Francisco ”.I am sure that your vacation rental is credited for us having an amazing time. The views from this lovely apartment are breathtaking at all times of the day. The apartment is so well situated that we walked to most of our destinations and as a result we were able to view the city from a more intimate place. I recently spent 10 days in the 2E Unit for a fantastic visit to the city by the bay. the view from this unit was excellent with each morning a cup of coffee brewed in the excellent kitchen facilities and listening to classical music and watching the beautiful sunrise over the bay bridge. truly inspirational. Thank you Ave and Doris for a wonderful welcome to this relaxing vacation. The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill were a memorable experience. will consider renting again for a return visit. We totally agree with all previous comments: this apartment is amazing! Perfectly located, we had the feeling of staying in the neighborhood. It was very clean, beautifully decorated and of course, the view is spectacular! We have rented few VRBO's on the East Coast, but this one is our best! We'd definitely stay here again if we return to SF and are recommending it to our family and friends. Thanks Ave & Doris, it was a pleasure meeting you!

It was amazing that with the windows open you can actually hear the sea lions while you are relaxing on the couch! Beautiful apartment in a great location. With global warming, a/c would be a plus. Thanks so much for sharing your little part of paradise.
