CITY and BAY VIEWS, ROMANTIC and INSPIRING - A UNIQUE SAN FRANCISCO EXPERIENCE. Make your visit especially memorable by staying on top of Telegraph Hill, one of San Francisco’s most sought after and historically interesting neighborhoods. The Telegraph Hill neighborhood is charming and quiet, and below the Hill is North Beach where you can find many fine restaurants, unique shops, and entertainment. Within minutes, you can walk to North Beach, Chinatown or the Financial District or walk up the hill to Coit Tower. Fisherman’s Wharf, Pier 39, the Embarcadero, the Ferry Building, Union Square and the Moscone Center are also within walking distance.

We now have two apartments to choose from, both with wonderful ambience, views and natural light throughout. The apartments have been recently renovated, are tastefully furnished, and have wood-burning fireplaces, hardwood floors and private parking. A set of French doors separates the living room from the bedroom. The apartments are ideal for a couple, but in addition to the queen-size bed in the bedroom, there is a living room sleeper sectional with a full-size memory foam mattress. All dinnerware, cooking utensils, and bed, bath and kitchen linens are provided. The newly tiled kitchens are completely equipped for cooking and include a dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, mixer, and blender. The apartment has high speed internet access, cable TV, DVD/CD player, hairdryer, alarm clock and iron/board. the use of a wireless phone can be arranged.

Apartment #3West is a corner unit with south and west facing windows with views of Coit Tower, the Bay Bridge, the Financial District and Russian Hill. It is located on the 3rd story of a 4-story walk-up. Apartment #2East is our new listing. This apartment is also a corner unit with south and east facing windows with views of the Bay Bridge and the top of the Transamerica Building (the pyramid). Apartment #2East has a small private deck with a BBQ grill and table and chairs, a wonderful place to have coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. This apartment is located on the 2nd story of the building. Both apartments come with the use of one of the garages on the street-level of the building.

A corner market is conveniently located nearby as well as other shops, restaurants, bakeries and cafes down the hill in North Beach. There is no on-site laundry facility; however, there is a laundry mat ½ block down the hill. A city bus runs conveniently up the hill. No smoking or pets.

  • We spent a month in apartment #3 in November, and had a wonderful time - it was hard to leave. The lovely apartment has everything you could need, and is ideally situated. Yes, it is at the top of the hill, but there is a bus stop right outside the door, and the views more than compensate. We could walk almost everywhere we wanted to go from the apartment, and found the bus service very easy to use, as well as inexpensive. Thank you Ave and Doris for making our visit so enjoyable. We will definitely recommend this apartment to family and friends, and hope to see you again ourselves.

  • As the song goes, “we left our heart in San Francisco ”. I am sure that your vacation rental is credited for us having an amazing time. The views from this lovely apartment are breathtaking at all times of the day. The apartment is so well situated that we walked to most of our destinations and as a result we were able to view the city from a more intimate place. I loved meeting up with the parrots! Thank you for making the extra effort to greet us with the treats and fresh flowers. I could go on raving about your vacation rental but we need to be on the road soon.   • I recently spent 10 days in the 2E Unit for a fantastic visit to the city by the bay. the view from this unit was excellent with each morning a cup of coffee brewed in the excellent kitchen facilities and listening to classical music and watching the beautiful sunrise over the bay bridge. truly inspirational. Thank you Ave and Doris for a wonderful welcome to this relaxing vacation. The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill were a memorable experience. will consider renting again for a return visit. Thanks, Clay

It was very clean, beautifully decorated and of course, the view is spectacular! We have rented few VRBO's on the East Coast, but this one is our best!   • All the previous comments are accurate. We stayed in Unit 2 for a week - beautifully decorated, convenient, well appointed. Doris & Ave were great to deal with. Thanks for the extra touches - fresh flowers and treats!! Would definitely recommend this rental - all aspects of the experience exceeded expectations. (Bus 39 is convenient as previously noted, but quits running around 7:30 p.m. - the hill would be challenging for folks with physical limitations, but taxis are available for those later nights.)

  • Everything said before is quite true and can be summed up in one word - immaculate. A special treat is Bus 39 which stops at your front door, runs down the hill to Washington Square where you can transfer to many busses, then goes on to Fishermans Warf and returns via Coit Tower. If you are a senior, all for $0.50 including a transfer where you can ride practically all day (technically a couple of hours but no one checks). Not a senior - $1.50, exact change

  • We stayed in #2 for 3 nights at the end of September 2008. It was absolutely wonderful! Beautiful views, great cooking pans and utensils in the kitchen, very comfortable bed, high quality and comfortable furniture, tv and sound system. Nothing that you would need or want was missing. We plan on staying there again on our next visit to SF.
