Huelo Point Lookout .. A Private Romantic Hideaway on the Magnificent North Shore of Maui, Hawaii
The "Lookout House" on Maui's North Shore is situated 400 yards back from the sea and 300 feet above the ocean cliffs. The house floats in a dream setting ... ocean, sky, cliffs, rolling folds of hills, rain shower, rainbows, and a 10,000 foot mountain. Time is suspended in the primal beauty that is still to be found in Hawaii if you know where to look. What better place could there be to live your dream than in Maui?
The "Lookout" has a comfy, relaxed "beach house" feel - a house that is made to be lived in and enjoyed. Your most difficult decision of the day may be in choosing which bed to sleep in - there's a king bed in the glass walled lounge room so you can wake up to an ocean sunrise and there's a second king bed in the master bedroom if you'd like to say good morning to Mount Haleakala, often wreathed in early morning mist.
Or perhaps you'll have fun deciding where to "eat in" after you've prepared a meal in our fun kitchen - the dining room has panoramic views down the coastal cliffs all the way along Maui's North Shore to Hana - Or should you set up a romantic outdoor dinner on one of the lanais and enjoy the soft sunset light over the spectacular tropical gardens? Or tuck yourselves on to the little nook by the waterfall/lotus pond?
Then again you could simply throw some of our local fish on the barbecue. Try "mahi" sautéed in a little butter with toasted macadamia nuts and just a squeeze of lime or lemon - serve it with a salad picked fresh from our organic herb and veggie patch, depending on the season. The "real maui" is still here if you know where to find it.
Or you may choose to splurge on your own private chef, light the outdoor lanterns, and prepare to be totally spoiled. Top it off with a dip in the pool or in your own private hot tub, or perhaps enjoy an in house massage. Choices, choices, choices. Our lovely house is designed to be as simple or as luxurious as you care to make it. Many of our guests love to make a fresh brew of Kona Coffee and wander down to their jacuzzi just in time to catch the sun rising out of the ocean over Huelo Point. |
