"We are a group of retired teachers with spouses and friends who vacation together twice a year. This is our second visit to SeaNest; it is IDEAL for our group. We love that the house is directly on the beach, has five separate bedrooms and four baths, includes adequate utensils and cooking gear, and feels like "home' to us. The owners are easy to work with and are prompt in their responses. We will return as often as possible to this perfect vacation house."

  • Cute Condo

"This place was perfect for 4 people. I dont know about sleeping 10...would seem very crowded to me!!!! I thought it was very nice and clean and convenient to all places on 30-A. I loved the porch but would have much preferred an ocean front. There is a another condo building in front of you and a side view of the ocean which was very pretty especially at sunset. I would definately stay there again though!!!"

  • Everything You Could Want and More...

"I have stayed at beachouses for many years and cannot say enough good things about Sayer-Endipity at Emerald Hill. I am usually partial to beach vacations on the Pacific coast but have heard great things about Pan Handle of Florida and I couldn't agree more. The condo had just been recently been renovated and it is gorgeous. The pictures are exactly what the condo looks like from the kitchen to the bedroom and bathrooms. The location is walking distance to the beach. All you need to do is walk across the pool and courtyard and down the steps to the beach. This is also a prime location, only a mile from Seaside. It is calm and relaxing but still close enough to all the restaurants, stores and sites that Seaside has to offer. I highly recommend visiting Seaside for a day of shopping or for a quaint dinner. You cannot beat the sunsets you will see. The white sands and blue ocean water is exactly like the pictures. The calmer waters and soft sand are great for families with small children who enjoy playing in the small waves or for teenagers who enjoy sun bathing and getting a tan. The condo is located in Seagrove Beach which give you easy access to the 30A biking, running or walking trail for those exercise enthusiasts. This place is great for people of all ages, whether you enjoy hanging out and relaxing or on the go site seeing this is the place for you. I will be reserving another week for next summer and cannot wait to go back."

  • October is a great time to visit.

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and stay for a week in late October. We enjoyed the property. The upstairs was comfortable and well appointed. The screen porch a nice place to relax looking at the dock and lake. The downstairs, bedroom and bath are small and need a bit of updating.

The inside was very clean, however the outside could have been in better condition.

The beach chairs and bike were an added bonus.

The location is close to everything. The October weather was spectacular!"

Seagrove Beach Travel Tips

The quiet town of Seagrove Beach is located in the Florida Panhandle and the perfect place to visit anytime of the year. Seagrove Beach gets its name from a thick grove of windswept trees surrounding the community. Today, the town has preserved the green canopies full of oaks, magnolias, hickories and sand pines that are essential to its past.

In the early 1900s, Seagrove Beach was known as Russ's Hammock and accessible via a path from Point Washington, a small mill town. The McGee family were some of the first property owners in Seagrove Beach who discovered the area in 1949. Then, the only way you could get to the town was on a sandy trail off of U.S. Highway 98.

Palm trees, sandy beaches and relaxation are what you can expect in Seagrove Beach. It's a desirable destination for those who want to experience a peaceful getaway from a busy life and sit back and enjoy the sounds of the water crashing on the shore.

Seagrove Beach Attractions

The water in and around Seagrove Beach is clear while the beaches are full of sugar white sand. For this reason, spending some time at the beach is a must when you visit. You can swim, fish, build sand castles or just lay in the sun, but if you're looking for more to do, there's plenty of it in Seagrove Beach and the surrounding South Walton area.

Eastern Lake is one of the largest dune lakes in South Walton. Visitors stop here for canoeing, kayaking and YOLO boarding. Eastern Lake is also the trailhead of a hiking and biking trail that leads you through Point Washington State Forest.

Point Washington State Forest has more than 10 miles of trails for those who want to make their way through the 15,000-acre forest on bike, foot or just take in the beauty of the surrounding ecosystem. The most popular route for cyclists and hikers is from Eastern Lake to Cassine Garden where you may catch a glimpse endangered red-cockaded woodpecker or a gopher tortoise. The sand hills, basin swamps, wet flatwoods, wet prairie and cypress swamps that make up Point Washington State Forest make for the perfect stop if you want to get in touch with nature.
