  • Chama Beauty

"Beautiful log home with stunning design, incredible wrap around deck. Accommodations were thoughtful, gracious, and comfortable. A hike around the block yields great views of the Brazos cliffs, and if you are lucky, deer will greet you on the deck in the morning looking for corn."

  • The condo was pristine

"Hi Erik, I just wanted to send a quick note and say that we really enjoyed your condo again for our duration of 26SEP-3OCT!! The amenities are great and the view is wonderful. We took 4 extra people with us this time (not all in this condo, they stayed in 508) and they all agreed that this is an absolute prime location for enjoying Maui. As always, the condo was pristine, very welcoming, and comfortable. 601 is definitely a prime location as it is closest to the beach! We seem to be on a 2 year pattern for returning to Maui, so I may be emailing/calling you again next year. Thanks again for providing such a great place to enjoy Maui! Best Regards, Mike"

  • Well run house

"Frequent Flyer is a well run house. Everything was very clean and well equipped. Mark was very responsive, organized and accommodating. Our only comment is that there was an unusual amount of mosquitos this year due the hurricane. Otherwise we had a great vacation."

  • John......Home away from home

"I have been staying in Larry Camp's condo for so many years now that it has become my home away from home. It's right in the middle of the part of the island where I have many friends, and I can walk anywhere to enjoy this beautiful paradise. The open spaces between the buildings keep the aloha spirit alive with the beautiful, well kept grounds and gardens. I always have a place to go to when I go to my beloved Maui."

Getting to Lake Ontario Vacation Rentals

To get to Lake Ontario on the American side, the major travel hub is Rochester, New York which is located just inland of the southernmost point of the lake. Rochester has a national airport which receives domestic flights from most major cities on the East Coast and Great Lakes areas. The largest major city near Ontario is Buffalo which is located on the shore of the nearby Lake Erie. Buffalo is within easy driving distance from most parts of Lake Erie's southern shoreline. If traveling from overseas, you may consider flying into New York City or Philadelphia. Both cities are within a day's driving distance from Lake Ontario. Alternatively, you can also fly into Toronto with is on the northern Canadian lakeshore and from there, get a regional flight to Buffalo.

Seasons to Visit Lake Ontario Cottages

If you want to enjoy water sports and long leisurely walks then summertime is the season for you to visit Lake Ontario. There are many boat launches, marinas and picnic sites where you can enjoy a day out with the family. During the warm summer days, many visitors can be seen out on the water as they enjoy their favorite sports. This is traditionally the busiest time of year and the peak season is during the months of June and July. If you want to avoid the crowds, choose a travel time earlier or later in the summer season. May and September still enjoy mild temperatures. Lake Ontario is transformed into a snowy winter wonderland by November and December. While the lake sees fewer visitors than in the warmer summer months, for many people this is their preferred season to travel. Many parts of the lake ice over, providing ice skating, sledding and snowmobile trails. Cross country skiing trails wind their way around the lakeshore as well.
