  • Excellent Stay - (the pictures don't do the property justice)

"My wife and I have previously stayed at a local bed and breakfast on our annual visit to Cape Charles, however, we wanted to try something different this year. This house was exactly what we were looking for. The house is immaculately clean and spacious, the renovations were perfectly done and the location could not be better. While the house has all of the amenities of a new house, the charm and character of its age is well-preserved. Early morning coffee or an afternoon glass of wine on the front porch is a must! I have used VRBO many times and I found Julie, the owner, extremely easy to deal with. I have already recommended this house to a friend and have no doubts that we'll be back to 207 Tazewell on our next visit!"

  • Beautiful home

"This home is everything shown and more. It is beautiful and decorated wonderfully. The garage is stocked full of bikes, kayaks, crab traps, boogie boards etc. A few negatives - the streets in the development are gravel so young kids may have a hard time riding a bike. We never found a place to bring the kayaks in the creek so we took one down to the beach on top of our SUV. The day before we left we found a fitness trail that winds around the creek. The entrance is across the empty lot in front of the house. The owner does take time to get back to you but she will respond. The beach is terrific. The water was clean and we went swimming just about everyday. On the one rainy day we drove over to the VA Air and Space Museum and then stopped at VA Beach on the way back. Great day. Loved Cape Charles. It is definitely low key but that is what we wanted. We saw cars from Canada, OH, MI, ID and WI so this is a quiet treasure for sure."

  • Wonderful Vacation and perfect for children!

"We loved Southern Living! We stayed from 7/13/2013-7/20/2013. We had 10 people in the house, 4 adults and 6 children and this house couldn't have bee more perfect for us. It is beautiful on the inside and outside and we loved the nautical theme throughout the home. It was only 2 blocks away from the beach and really close to everything else, including restaurants and all the cute little shops in the town. We chose to rent a golf cart from Eastern Shore custom carts and it made our week even better having that to get around. The home is stocked well with everything you could imagine for children, toys, bikes, beach toys, baby pools, board games, DVD's, books, ETC!! It was wonderful having the linen service stock the house with clean towels, sheets, extra blankets, etc. We all had a blast! We enjoyed going to the beach every day, relaxing on the porch while the children played outside, grilling together, also, the playground at the end of the street was wonderful, exceeded our expectations. This was all in all a great house and location, I could go on and on about Cape Charles. We can't wait to return next summer! = )"
