Private, Comfortable and Cozy with Distant Ocean and Mountain Views

Boulay Inn is nestled on Kauai’s south side in rural Omao. It is your own secluded home away from home with all the amenities to ensure your comfort. There is a spacious airy living area, a queen sized bed, tiled shower and a verdant yard outside your windows. Your accommodations are airy and comfortable with a combination of ceiling fans and sliding glass doors. We have tried to think of everything you might possibly need for your island home. Cooking facilities, entertainment center, including cable TV and Wifi are all available. No need to lug your hair dryer, there is one in your bath. A washer and dryer are provided because we don’t want you to spend any of your Hawaiian vacation in a laundromat.

Omao (meaning green in Hawaiian) is a convenient hub for all east, west, and south shore activities. Sunny Poipu Beach is just minutes away with swimming beaches and all sorts of water sports such as snorkeling, diving, surfing, boogie or stand up boarding. We have most beach accessories for your convenience, including beach towels, chairs, cooler, boogie boards, and snorkel gear. Remember to bring your sunscreen.

If golf is your game, choose from three beautiful courses within a fifteen minute drive.

Old Koloa Town, Poipu and the surrounding area abound with dining and shopping choices. There are over thirty restaurants within a ten minute drive and several areas with "lots of different kinds of shops". Koloa town has two grocery stores, a pharmacy and a bank. You won’t have to go far to find what you need.

Our stay at the boulay inn was amazing. Sharon was an amazing host and very friendly. The inn was in the absolute best spot. The beach and activities were not too far away and was easily accessible. Sharon was very friendly, gave good recommendations, and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. Highly satisfied and hopefully will be returning soon!

Fantastic Stay!

We loved our stay at the Boulay Inn! The location was great. The neighborhood was nice and was relatively quiet, aside from the chickens, which is normal. Sheri and Jim were wonderful hosts and truly made us feel welcomed. This space was equipped with everything we needed from pots and pans to beach chairs, snorkel gear, and even a lunch tote to take to the beach!

Perfect week in paradise

It was a wonderful week that we were able to spend in this fantastic apartment. We felt safe and comfortable from the very first moment. The accommodation is in a great location and has everything you need and more. Sheri is a wonderful person. She kept asking us how our day was and always had something great to tell us. She knows the island very well and has great tips. We would have loved to stay longer, if we come back we will definitely book here again. Great host, central location, best value

Shari is a great and helpful host. Thank you very much for thr time we stayed at Omao Road. The appartment offers a lot of space, a good kitchen and bedroom. And even a patio to sit outside. We had a great time and recommend the Boulay Inn as best value on Kauai

Wir haben uns total wohl gefühlt, es hat an nichts gefehlt. Die Lage ist top. Da die Insel nicht so groß ist kommt man überall innerhalb von 1 h hin. Sharon und Jim sind sehr nette Gastgeber. Für den freundlichen Empfang sind wir sehr dankbar. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit. Wir konnten die Strandstühle benutzen und auch das Schnorchelzubehör. Strandtücher waren auch da. Es war wirklich grossartig.

Boulay Inn

Omao and the Boulay Inn is a Delightful rural spot with very gracious and understanding hosts. Easy access to all of Kauai. Boulay Inn is like home away from home …plus a friendly cat visitor. The delights of Kauai await you…major green sea turtles at Poipu beach. And even endangered Hawaian monk seals for you to find. Not to mention cool trade wind breezes wherever you go. This inn was the best spot we have found of our three visits. Many thanks to the owners.

Perfect place and host

Sheri has been an amazing and caring host for us. The place was better than we could have imagined and fully equiped. The location is great, you are close to Poipu. Would have loved to stay there forever. Boulay Inn is a gem.

Amazing guest house

This guest house has everything you could need. Comfy bed, TV, kitchen, shower/bath… everything. Great hosts, they were so friendly but still give you privacy. They really made us feel at home here. If you want a non tourist location, stay here!!! We spent so much time in koloa, which we may have not even realized all it had to offer if we didn’t stay here. If you’re on the fence - just book it! You won’t regret it

Top-Notch Apartment with Friendly Hosts in a Great Location

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment. The hosts are extremely nice and helpful, which made our stay very pleasant. The apartment is very well-equipped, and we lacked nothing. Wonderful

We had a fantastic time in Kauai. Sheri and Jim were wonderful hosts, the apartment was well stocked with everything you would need for your stay on the island. Sheri even supplied milk, coffee, juice and cereal for your first couple of days. And of course a fresh pineapple and bananas, which were delicious. I can’t say enough great things about the Boulay Inn and Sheri and Jim. Would love to go back again for a longer stay, stayed 13 nights. Was hard to leave. Thank you!

Beautiful Hawaiian Apartment

Charming Kauai stay and great hosts

Our upstairs apartment was clean and well stocked. Our hosts were very friendly. The kitchen was well stocked. Towels and chairs were available for beach time. No a/c but the breeze and the fans kept things very comfortable and we actually had to close windows at night. The roosters spouting off at 5am was our only concern but this is Kauai so you should know what you are getting. We would definitely stay again.

Marvelous Stay!!

It is hard to find a listing that reminds you of home yet gives you the experience of beautiful Kauai. The Boulay Inn did just that!! From the moment we arrived to the minutes before we left, Sheri and Jim could not be more welcoming, kind, and supportive! Their location was incredibly close to the southern beaches yet allowed access to the main highways to get West or North with ease! The listing came supplied with all the items we needed to make our trip more affordable by cooking meals at home and unwinding after a long day of adventuring. Christmas in Hawaii is a beautiful thing, but Christmas at the Boulay Inn was a magical experience!! Could not recommend this listing more highly and we will definitely be back, given the opportunity! Thank you Sheri and Jim!!

We loved it!

What a gem to find on Kaua'i. The apartment was the perfect size for two of us, very clean and had everything we needed, including a space to park our car on the property and the use of a washing machine. The location was great and Sheri was the perfect hostess. She always met us with a smile and her suggestions of places to visit were ideal. 100% recommended.

Our Stay

We felt very comfortable at Sherry's place. It was spacious, charming and had everything we could possibly need. Flying in late, we so much appreciated the goodies she had left for us… milk in the refrigerator, pancake mix etc We enjoyed watching sunrises from the apartment. The apartment was very clean, comfortable, charming and met our needs. Very convenient location. Thank you Sherry for having us.

A lovely homely stay

A lovely place to stay in Kauai. Close to Poipu beach which we loved. Sheri provided everything we needed for a great 3 night stay. Would recommend.

Paradise Retreat

Perfect location for a romantic vacation in beautiful Kauai. Great apartment location on grounds of beautiful home with many places of interest nearby. Hostess is gracious and welcoming. We felt right at home. We loved being there and would recommend to all who want a great place to stay while enjoying paradise.
