Fabulous house with lots of character, set in large enclosed grounds with a swimming pool in a delightfully French village, next to Pezenas.

4 Bedroomed House includes:

The house is fabulous for a family holiday with lots of space inside and outdoors for open air eating and sunbathing in quiet surroundings with a fabulous view over the village. Found in a village setting within walking distance to the local centre where fresh bread is baked daily and local provisions can be bought. There is also a cafe bar and lovely restaurant and so many beautiful walks thought the local vineyards and woods.

The medieval town of Pezenas is only a short cycle ride away with its Saturday market, historic centre and craft shops and a fabulous wine tasting evening along the main street during the summer.

Numerous sandy beaches stretch along the Mediterranean coast only 24 km away and half an hours drive north takes you up into the hills of the Larzac with beautiful views, fabulous walking and watersports activity on Lake Salagou.

Great place for a holiday!

We had a wonderful week at this house. For us, a family with four kids in different ages, both the house and the village was perfect. Extra plus for the hospitality, the pool area and the possibility to walk to the local wine producer. The house is clean, well equipped and everything thoughtfully arranged, from generous amounts of toilet paper, soap and towels to cling film and mosquito repellant. Owners friendly and quick to reply on any questions. We highly recommend it!

Sehr schönes großes Ferienhaus in ruhiger Lage

Wir (Eltern mit zwei Teenagern) haben den Urlaub zwei Wochen sehr genossen und kommen jederzeit gerne wieder. Das tolle Ferienhaus liegt in ruhiger Lage auf den Höhen am Ortsrand von Tourbes. Das nicht einsichtige sehr große Grundstück hat viele schöne verschiedene Ecken mit Bäumen, dem kleinen Teich und anderem, die man genießen kann. Es gibt eine schöne und große Terrasse mit soliden Möbeln mit Grill. Der 8x4 m große Pool hat eine gute Größe, ist ebenfalls uneinsichtig gelegen und es sind ausreichend Liegen verfügbar. Wir haben ihn intensiv genossen. Pool-Spielzeug kann gemietet werden.f Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet, alles Nötige ist vorhanden und es fehlt an nichts. Wohnzimmer mit Essbereich und Küche ist sehr wohnlich und geräumig. Schon am ersten Tag fühlt man sich rundum wohl wie Zu Hause. Die Klimaanlagen in allen Zimmern haben gut funktioniert. WLAN war auch perfekt. Bezug des Hauses hat problemlos geklappt. Wir waren komplett ungestört im Haus. Fernsehen ist in englischen oder französischen Sendern möglich. Wenn gewünscht sind die Vermieterin Penny und der Hausmeister vor Ort sehr hilfsbereit und stehen für alle Fragen zur Verfügung. Die Kontakte in englischer Sprache waren sehr angenehm und hilfreich. Die Strände in Valras oder Serignan sind in 25 min erreichbar, Carcassonne, Béziers, Narbonne Montpellier zwischen 45 und 90 min. Ein I-Tüpfelchen zur Perfektion wären noch Fliegengitter an einzelnen Fenstern, damit nachts gelüftet werden kann. Dank der guten Klimanlage ist dies aber kein wirkliches Problem. Danke für einen wunderbaren Urlaub.

Lovely stay in beautiful village in the sunshine..

Had a great stay, house was large and facilities good for a bigger group, Tourbes is a lovely small village and the larger town of Pezanas is only a short drive. Weather was very hot for our stay so the pool was well used and the kids enjoyed the environment. Overall highly recommend.

Trevligt hus i charmig by

Vi var väldigt nöjda med vår vecka i Tourbes. Fem vuxna och tre små barn hade stor glädje av huset, uteplatsen, poolen och trädgården. Det var en period med mycket höga utetemperaturer men med luftkonditionering i kök och alla sovrum så blev vistelsen mycket behaglig.

Vacances familiales à Tourbes

Belle maison, bien aménagée et bien équipée. L’air conditionné est un vrai plus. Très chouette piscine. Transats en suffisance. Chouette coin repas ombragé. Propriétaires disponibles rapidement si soucis.

We love this part of France with its relaxed way of life and of course the fabulous weather. Whist family in the UK prevents us from moving here full time we spend many weeks here each year enjoying the surrounding countryside and Mediterranean beaches or simply sitting at a local cafe watching the world go by. We bought the house is 2016 after a long search and haven't regretted it once. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

The light open living space was what initially attracted us to the house with its views over the garden and the village. Set in a quiet corner a short walk from the centre of Tourbes there is immediate access to the many paths and tracks through local vineyards and woodland. The house has some interesting features - a room behind the kitchen we believe was originally a stone winemakers hut, and a roof terrace accessed from the master bedroom or mezzanine. The garden is totally enclosed within a secure fence and electric gates and there is plenty of parking within the grounds We even have a small pond with resident fish and frogs.

What makes this property unique

The house is set within large grounds which extend all round the property, in a quiet location which provides an air of tranquillity and calm. From the house the view across to the coast is one of the best in Tourbes and it's location is perfect for exploring the region.
Pezenas, the medieval town, is less than 5kms away with its markets and festivals and array of restaurants and craft shops.
