We stayed here for our wedding anniversary and absolutely loved it ! The house on the water created the perfect atmosphere to relax and enjoy each others company. All the nearby artisan foods and seafood made the trip even better. I highly recommend this place to anyone
Wonderful, wonderful! Lucky to have had a lovely sunset to enjoy our only night, and a clear starry sky later. Would want to come back, for sure! Kitchen, beds, grounds, all very nice. -Just wasn’t able to connect to bluetooth on the sound system; that equipment could be updated.
What a wonderful property! Amazing location and a perfectly appointed house well stocked with everything e could possibly need. The hot tub looking out over Tomales Bay was divine.
House was comfortable with great views from both floors. Kitchen was well stocked and there’s lots of comfortable seating in living room. We loved our stay. Only thing for some people to consider is that the bedroom is upstairs via spiral staircase and bathroom is downstairs.
It is a great place for a good dose of beauty and quiet. There were issues with technology, i.e., stereo, TV, media players and landlines, but wi-fi seemed to be working ok. Otherwise, very comfortable with an extraordinary view of the bay and wildlife.
This is truly California gem, literally on the water with the sound of waves and beautiful views, lots of glass, and overall neatly appointed including an upstairs loft bedroom. Owner and property manager were caring and responsive.
Can’t get any closer to the bay than this home. So enjoyed watching pelicans, otters, ospreys, and blue herons from the deck. The home was well equipped with everything we needed. Furniture and bed were very comfortable. And oh yes, the beautiful sunsets over Pt Reyes.
What a perfect location for a couple of kayakers who really needed a getaway! The house was warm and cozy, even through a storm the first day, it was very comfortable and the view can’t be beat. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need and the living room is stocked with games, books, comfy chairs to watch the bay, and a hot tub over the water.
We easily launched kayaks from our own beach and we’re instantly in paddler heaven. We will keep this as a favorite go to on Tomales bay.
My husband and I enjoyed a weekend retreat at Bleu Bay Cottage. We enjoyed sipping our coffee while watching the sun rise. We had our wine on the deck while watching the sun set. We could hear the gentle waves at night and gazed at the stars while enjoying the hot tub. The small beach next to the cottage was perfect for launching our kayaks. The cottage is well appointed and clean. Overall, a great experience.
My husband and I booked this lovely cottage for a long weekend exploring the point Reyes area. It has been so absolutely wonderful that I contemplated leaving one star reviews so as to keep the secret for ourselves. The kitchen is large and lovely and perfect for cooking, The heaters work, the beds are comfortable, and the views are out of this world! What’s more – – the space is also perfectly designed with privacy in mind. Even though there are several other cottages in this neighborhood we could neither see nor hear our neighbors from either the deck or the house. Neither did we feel like anyone was peeing in at us. We can’t wait to come back! I already put it back I forgot we’re gonna go that way

Disappointing stay
We chose this rental because of the location and it had a spa. We arrived to find the spa water swampy and film of crud on the sidewalls. The owner called to tell us after we arrived the refridgerator wasn't working. He told us to dump in some chemicals to fix the spa ourselves. He was also having the repairman come about the fridge the next day. The chemicals didn't fix the spa and the repairman didn't fix the fridge. The owner should be on top of this so his guests can enjoy the visit they are paying for. Not the relaxing or private getaway we were hoping for.

We’re relatively new to VRBO. Previously, guests have discovered us primarily through word of mouth and a local website. We have had countless glowing reviews and many repeat guests. You can read some of their comments at our Guest Book in our website beachcottage.us.
The statements and tone in this VRBO review were surprising. The guests who came immediately after this disappointed guest raved about how wonderful it was—they enjoyed the bay and the Pt. Reyes National Seashore in the daytime and the stars at night from the spa.
I believe the reviewer misinterpreted discoloration from the salt sea air on the sidewall of the spa as “crud”. The spa and water are completely sanitary. There is a bromine dispenser floating in it constantly and the cleaning staff treats the water after every use. The following guests confirmed that the water was clear and clean. A new spa heater and pump were just put in just last year. When I spoke with the husband of the unhappy guest I suggested that he add some Spa Perfect to the spa, which is a natural enzyme product that can remove films from things like sun lotion. Since my next guests were so happy with the hot tub and the cleaning person didn’t find anything wrong, I assumed all was fine. I checked after the next guest’s stay and the water was quite clear, but to be sure I had the cleaning person empty the tub completely and refill it.
I did call the guests about the refrigerator. The cleaning staff who were at the cottage shortly before these guests arrived thought the frig might not be cool enough in the lower section. I hired the best appliance repairman in the County to check it-- a small part was needed that he didn’t have, so he ordered it that day. The freezer was fine, so he took ice from the freezer, and put it in the lower section to provide supplemental ice-box effect. This kept things reasonably cool in the lower section. I called the guests again before they left to check on the spa and frig. The weekend guests who came in next had no problem with the refrigerator in its interim condition. On Monday, as soon as the repairman had the part, he replaced it, and this six year old refrigerator was like new again.
I did all I could to be “on top of this”. I’m sorry this guest wasn’t happy. Fortunately though, this experience was unique in our several years of guests, and again you can read some of the many wonderful things they say at our website: beachcottage.us
Really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was clean, nice and had everything we needed for our stay. You are right on the water with Beautiful Sunsets. The Hot Tub was spectacular. There was a wonder store in Pt Reyes and Nicks Cove a mile away has the best food and drinks. There is no cell phone coverage, but who cares when your in paradise?
Our first stay in the Point Reyes area, and this was great. An easy drive to Tomales, Pt. Reyes, and Inverness for food and hikes. The house felt spacious for two, nicely updated appliances and furniture. Fast internet. There is a spiral staircase to be navigated to the bedroom - not an issue for us. Location over the water was perfect! Very responsive property manager and owner. The only thing it lacked was curtains to block the afternoon sun. We hope to return!
Had a lovely stay and other than a few things that needed fixing kitchen facet, dishwasher which we told the PM about when we checked out the cottage is very nice and cozy. Watching the tide ebb and flow from the cottage was wonderful and living over the water was like being on a ship without the people. Would definitely go back.
We couldn't take our eyes off the beautiful view of Tomales Bay which you can see from every room in the house. It was bigger than I thought with the extra sun room between the living room and bathroom. The location was very peaceful and rejuvenating...

Thank you so much for the great review Tina, we are so happy you enjoyed your stay! We hope to host you again sometime.
Amazing location. The cottage was well equipped and we had no issues at all during our stay. Check-in process was easy as was check out. We will return for sure.
What a beautiful place to be. Right on the water. (Actually, the water comes under the back deck and the house when the tide comes in.) My favorite is when the bat rays come right up to you during low tide to feed, and listening to egrets and ospreys nesting a few houses down in the cove. Wow. Thank you for a peaceful time in a home that is so well cared for. Hoping to come back soon!
The property is a great pad right on the water, well appointed with everything you need to make a great meal and enjoy the view. Can't wait to come back.
