Low key, easy to get to. Great to be able to have the dog. Not fancy but all the basics.
Hood Canal Waterfront Cabin
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the rustic seclusion of the cabin. Perfect for enjoying peaceful togetherness. Loved kayaking in McDonald Cove, even in the rain!
Awesome and responsive owner
We absolutely loved this place. It was a little rustic, but exactly as we expected. We had a scheduling glitch when we first arrived, but Bill was super responsive and worked with us to get it fixed. We were there during a weekend-long rain storm, so we didn't get as much out of the outdoor experience as we had hoped, but we would definitely come back (especially on a nice weekend). Thanks so much for sharing your place!
Perfect Vacation Location
This cabin is great with super views of the canal. We kayaked a few days and launched from a site down the road. We saw 20 or so sea lions and elk by the water. The cabin was clean and very functional. There are 2 bedrooms in the cabin and I stayed in the lower one. Bed was hard but who cares. The deck was perfect just to relax and watch the wildlife. Any road noise was hardly noticeable. Almost all the cabins on the canal back up to a road. Here there is a buffer of trees so you dont notice the road noise. The kitchen is fully equipped and easy to cook in. I would definitely stay here again.
Loved the location (great hike to top of Mt Elinor), access to water, kayaks, morning sun, deck, hammock, wildlife (otters, eagles, seals), local food (Geoduck Tavern and Hamma Hamma Oysters).
House was clean and comfortable but needs some basic maintenance/upgrades - especially bathroom.
Just what we needed!
Beautiful setting, beautiful view. Loved the deck and the comfortable feel of this property. Owner should update listing. A lot of the items suggested for upgrade in prior reviews have been fixed. Still need a new mattress downstairs, but all the positives definitely outweighs this one negative. We will be back.
