Best for family and dog
Easy reservation, clean space. Comfortable for family of 5 and a dog. Close to shops in South Harbor. Easy driving to all other attractions along Bar Harbor. Would definitely reserve this place again.

Perfect location for Southwest Harbor adventures!
My husband, my pup and I loved staying here this week. We arrived to a clean welcoming home, easily found in the dark, and settled right in. We brought everything with us for food and drink and we didn’t wish for anything once we got there for kitchen ware, etc. Being dog friendly was a huge plus and the area was comfortable for dog walking in the am/ pm with lots of hikes close by for day time romps. I fell in love with the area (again) so we will be back and I wouldn’t hesitate to check on availability here!! Thank you.

Great Stay
We had a great stay at David's place. The setup was perfect for my wife and I, along with our 1yr old daughter. Spent our days hiking/exploring the beautiful area around us. David's communication was excellent as well. We would absolutely stay here again!

Southwest off season
The house was very clean. Well stocked kitchen. We had a couple of questions and the owners were very quick to respond. Recommend this property for small families.

Thanks for checking out my home in Southwest Harbor! I relocated from Pennsylvania to Maine after falling in love with Acadia National Park. The best parts of Maine are the rugged rocky coast, the smell of the salt air combined with the forests of balsam pine. We also have some great local food with lobster (of course!), blueberries and beer.

As an avid traveler for both fun and work, I’ve visited 49 of 50 states (see you soon Alaska!) and probably the same number of countries. I started working with vacation rentals after a visit to a charming Caribbean cabin on the island of Carriacou, which is part of Grenada. I love hiking and recently completed a hike to 17600 feet or 5560m to Everest Base Camp in Nepal. My vacations usually involve some aspect of hiking .

Why they chose this property

This is a lovely small house that is convenient to everything on the island. It’s is located in town but due to the setback from the road, it has a very private feel.

What makes this property unique

Gas fireplace
Outdoor space
Walkable to downtown
On the Acadia Explorer bus route (seasonal)
Available year round
Pet Friendly
