About the Property

House, 4 Bedrooms + Office, 3.5 Baths, (Sleeps 13)

“The Prettiest Village in Maine' is where this spacious, comfortable home is located along the shore of the Sheepscot River in Wiscasset, the gateway to the Mid-Coast Region. Your family can make themselves right at home in its 3500 sq. ft. of living space, located on a quiet, dead end road.

The master bedroom has a comfortable king size bed, a sitting area, large walk in closet, and a view of the Sheepscot river. Relax in the 2 person jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom, also with a river view.
There are 4 queen bedrooms, 3 with a water view, and 3 twin beds. Enjoy watching your favorite shows on the 60' smart hdtv with surround sound. High speed wireless internet and a desk is available for your laptop. Board games, books, and toys for adults and the kids.

Our home is conveniently located just 3 miles from scenic Route 1, and just 5 miles to Shaw's Supermarket. The village of Wiscasset is home to many antique shops, small shops, and eateries. A popular stop for many is Red’s Eats, a well known lobster shack that creates succulent lobster rolls! Featured recently in Down East Magazine is Wiscasset's Little Village Bistro, a popular restaurant serving delicious dinner nightly. Le Garage is a long time favorite place to eat in Wiscasset, with beautiful views of the Sheepscot River.

Mid Coast Maine offers many places to visit along the coast. Owls Head Transportation Museum offers many events throughout the summer. Bath is home to the Maine Maritime Museum, a popular destination for those interested in Maine's maritime heritage and culture. Camden, Pemaquid, Damariscotta and many other must see coastal towns are all under an hours drive. Flights into Portland Maine, Manchester New Hampshire, and Logan airport in Boston, offer convenient access to Maine’s rugged coastline, beaches, lighthouses, museums, state parks, or just relaxing in Maine’s casual atmosphere.

A peaceful, relaxing place, yet close to all that the Mid-Coast has to offer. **See video of property at https://Vimeo.com/184544024

Owner info

Year Purchased: 2001

About the owner: My husband and I built this Sheepscot Shores home in 2001. I grew up in Wiscasset and my husband, who grew up in New Jersey, loved this area and we decided this waterfront property would be a perfect fit to build a home. We have 5 children and we all have spent many holidays and celebrations at the home, along with our extended family.

Why the Owner Chose Wiscasset, ME, USA:
I have always loved being by the water and this property is located on a dead end road, is very quiet, and the view is beautiful no matter what time of year it is. It is close to coastal Route 1, a popular road for traveling along the coast, and it's easy commutes to all that the Mid Coast has to offer. It's also an easy drive to some of Maine's lakes and beaches.

The Unique Benefits at this House:
The house is 75 feet from the water's edge, and there is an easy walkway getting down to the water. The large deck, located on the waterfront side of house, is great for sitting outside and taking in the view. A grocery store is only a 5 minute drive and less than that to the village of Wiscasset where many small shops are located, including antiques. Red's Eat's, a very popular and nationally known eatery, is located in the village as well. They offer the best lobster and crab rolls in Maine!
