Regarding the damage, I understand this was disappointing to you, and it was for me as well. My cleaner, who has worked with me for over five years and is the only one who enters the home between guests, noticed significant scratches in the floor after your departure. She washes and inspects the floors after every stay and documented the damage with photos. When I reached out, it was to make you aware of this issue. You acknowledged moving the large, four-post king bed—something that is not necessary or encouraged. Unfortunately, doing so without protective sliders caused visible damage to the wood floor. I only requested reimbursement for the actual repair cost and was ultimately reimbursed through the platform, not by you directly. I take pride in maintaining the home to a high standard for all guests and do not use guest charges for “upgrades,” only for necessary repairs when damage occurs. While I regret that this impacted your perception of your stay, my goal is always to treat guests fairly and protect the integrity of the property for everyone’s enjoyment.
