Spring in East Glaicier
Beautiful home. We loved sleeping in the upper bedroom with the timber framed ceiling. The caretaker, Marty, was full of local information and made our stay outstanding. On one day of our stay, it was raining. Marty provide my wife with a rain jacket and boot. The house is fully outfitted with anything you could need. We'll be back.
My husband and I have spent a considerable amount of time exploring Glacier National Park including the East Side. When we want to spend time in such a magical place, we want the setting to reflect the values and essence of the place. This house does just that. It is beautifully and thoughtfully built and maintained.
The owners and the manager are extremely responsive and thoughtful and demonstrated a sincerity in wanting us to enjoy our stay. We would absolutely stay here again...and soon!
Visited in first week of October and hit some unexpected heavy snow...better than a foot in East Glacier. Comfortable beds and we had room to spread out as we came equipped with a lot of gear....snowshoes, etc. At the last week of September, pretty much everything shuts down in East Glacier but the Two Medicine Grill and the adjacent general store are open throughout the year. Good food...friendly staff. Highly recommend this property if you are requiring lodging that has a bit more in amenities as compared to your average hotel/motel room. Living room, kitchen, and patio were very nice, although the patio was caked in snow!
We had a great stay at the Cottage. The cottage was clean, cozy and perfect for a home base for our Glacier trip. Colleen was easy to communicate with and Marty was very friendly and gave us some recommendations for places to eat in town. Would definitely stay again!
Great little cabin edge of East Glacier.
Highly recommend this cabin for an extended stay, or just a couple of days. Cozy and quite with a well equipped stocked kitchen. Lot of thought went into this little cabin from radiant slab floor heating to the on-demand hot water. Marty is very helpful with useful knowledge of the area for hiking and animals, etc. He keeps the place tidy and clean which is appreciated. We would stay here again if the opportunity ever arises.
