Welcome to Zen House, the ideal way to Live Boulder.

This warm, contemporary home was newly renovated, and brand new outdoor space renovation, complete with outdoor kitchen!

Located in the quiet tree-lined residential community of Newlands, you can walk six blocks to explore the various Mount Sanitas trails or less than a mile to Pearl Street Mall featuring Boulder's great dining and shopping. North Boulder Park is just around the corner, or stop in Whole Foods (called Ideal Market) just two blocks away to make use of the fabulous, fully equipped kitchen.

Optimize your lifestyle while you explore this majestic community.

Zen House is flooded with natural light by day, and has a beautiful glow at night. Designed with your comfort and wellness in mind, we receive frequent requests from guests on where they can purchase the soft bedding, towels and natural body care products.

Enjoy the comfort of California King and King sized beds and light blocking shades in the front guest rooms, as well as radiant heated floors in the new Kohler and Restoration Hardware furnished bathroom.

The master bedroom has been renovated and is complete with automatic light-blocking shades on all 14 windows, to enjoy your slumber in a top-of-the-line Naturepedic mattress. Enjoy a beautiful Restoration Hardware and Waterworks bathroom with walk-in shower with standard and rain shower heads and a double sink.

All linens and towels are OEKO-TEX Standard 100. The California King is a luxuriously soft Naturepedic; the King is a firm Royal Pedic with pillow top. The master king is soft and plush towards the window and a bit firmer towards the door.

Loved our stay

We stayed at Zen House for my daughter’s graduation. The house lived up to its name-it is amazing! The inside is incredible with all the amenities and the outside space is equally gorgeous. Alexis is wonderful to work with- fabulous communication. Highly recommend.

Zen House in Boulder

Great house in a beautiful, peaceful neighborhood in Boulder, with close proximity to Pearl Street bars, shops, restaurants, etc. The host was very prompt and responsive in terms of getting ready for the trip, and while we were there. Would definitely stay again.

The property is up to date with nice furnishings and many other details. Quiet neighborhood, within walking of restaurants, coffee, etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and would go back in a heartbeat if every back in Boulder.

Gorgeous home

This was our 4th time staying in this beautiful home. It has every amenity you could want. Master bed and bath are exquisite! Two other nicely appointed bedrooms. Great outdoor area. Close to a park and hiking trails at Sanitas. Also close to a plaza with coffee, restaurants and small grocery. Not far from campus and Pearl street.

Had everything we needed for my family of 5 over graduation weekend, nice location, beautiful barbeque in back and fire pit in front. Great family time! Perfection

Fabulous location, clean and comfortable with everything you could possibly need for a wonderful visit. The owner left a very useful list of their favorite places in Boulder and instructions on how to use everything at their home. Easy walk to Pearl street and to a lovely hike with an amazing view of Boulder and the surrounding area. Would for sure come back and recommend!

Better than expected!

We enjoyed everything about our stay in this beautiful home. The pictures do not do the house justice; it’s been thoughtfully renovated, beautifully decorated, and is full of special touches that make it an actual experience. The beds and seating are comfortable, bathrooms luxurious, and the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you might need to cook a nice meal. The neighborhood is private and charming, but also close to everything Boulder has to offer. We enjoyed morning coffee and lazy afternoons on the oversized porch swing, long walks around the neighborhood, and the friendly folks in the community. Cannot imagine staying anywhere else when we come back to visit family!

Loved the house, not the yard

This house would be a perfect 10 if the backyard was better manicured. It just didn’t suit the awesomeness of the house. The owner was more than hospitable with us. She replied in a timely manner and did everything to make us feel at home. This made up for the backyard! The primary bedroom has huge windows and lots of natural light. We will be back!

So happy you had a wonderful stay! I’m so sorry about the condition of the back yard. Contractor scheduling delays pushed back the outdoor renovation by a season. Initial prework on the main sewage line to the house took place last fall in anticipation of the full renovation. Unfortunately, they cut the irrigation lines and we have had difficulty restoring the yard and grass to prime condition. I hope you’ll come back when it’s the zen oasis it is intended to be in 2023! It will be absolutely beautiful!

Beautiful & quiet stay in a wonderful home to settle our son in to University

We arrived from England to settle our son in to UC Boulder. The 'Zen' house was just that. Peaceful, super clean and calming. Alexis was an amazingly responsive host and kept us updated all the way through. Everything we needed was on hand and the location for hiking or shopping was perfect. We will be visiting Boulder many times over the next four years and will always try to come back to the Zen house. Thank you so much Alexis for sharing your beautiful home with us. Perfect stay

Alexis's home feels like a hotel. All the little touches like the makeup towels, shampoo conditioner and body wash in labeled dispensers, her kitchen full of every piece of equipment you could need. It’s so beautiful and cozy. The organic beds and crisp white organic bamboo sheets make us feel like we were staying at a 5 star hotel. And the home is so squeaky clean. The views of the mountains from the big living room windows were a lovely sight throughout the day. And being 2 blocks from North Boulder Park/kids playground made this a perfect location for traveling with our little kids. If we had any questions, Alexis responded right away. Great stay while touring colleges

We arrived a bit late in the evening. I could tell easily that we were at the correct location as the front window was lit up with a beautiful assortment of candles. The neighborhood is well maintained with beautiful homes. When walking in the door, we were met with a wonderful aroma, a very clean light scent. Not sure what it was, but the home smelled like a spa. The home was immaculate. Everything was super clean and beautiful. My husband and I took the master suite and my 3 teens divided up the remaining 2 bedrooms. We had more than enough room! The host left a bowl of much appreciated snacks which came in handy after a late night traveling and a detailed print out about the home. The latter came in handy when trying to figure out how to work the lights and automated shades. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and the bathrooms were stocked with products that we typically use. The front porch swing was super comfy and used by my husband and kids as they chatted about the days events. I texted the owner to let her know that we had arrived. She promptly responded. If my daughter ends up going to UC we will definitely be staying here in the future.

Amazing home with updates!

This was our second stay at the beautiful Zen house. The name says it all. The home is comfortable, beautifully decorated, and well-equipped. Alexis has thought of everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The master bathroom has been recently renovated and is absolutely stunning. Alexis is a wonderful host. Quiet Oasis in North Boulder

This well appointed house was perfect for a week long stay in Boulder. The neighborhood is lovely and very quiet with North Boulder Park just a block away. A clean and bright house that felt good and boasted comfortable beds and furniture. Plus, a washer/ dryer to stay up on laundry. Would stay again!

Our two dogs adore Boulder - and we wish we could open our home to pets, but it is too distressing for them when they return, so it's people-only for now.
