This private estate is located on 7 serene, sunny, wooded acres, accessible by private road. The garden is spectacular! The property adjoins Nisene Marks State park on one side, with old growth redwood trees, and is accessible by private road.

The house is super comfortable and perfect for a relaxing get-away, featuring a cook's kitchen, hardwood and stone floors, fireplace, outdoor patio with firepit, swimming pool, jacuzzi, and beautiful open spaces surrounded by mature oak, Madrone, and pine trees. Mature lemon and orange trees produce fruit year round, and the young orchard consists of peach, pear, orange, Mulberry, Loquat, plum, and persimmon trees.

There are two fireplaces, one in the living room, and one in the master suite. There are two master suites, both with private baths and private entrances.

This place is hummingbird paradise. Also expect visits from bluejays, finch, doves, and many others to the fountain in the courtyard. Foxes, deer, coyotes, wild turkeys, hawks, owls, bobcats and even mountain lions live in the area, but the property is completely fenced and gated, so they keep to the surrounding woods.

Relaxing getaway

We enjoyed our stay. You definitely feel relaxed and away from it all at this property, yet conveniences are just a short drive away. Seacliff Beach is a short drive as well, and a great beach to visit.

a holiday in the Aptos mountains

lovely property fabulous kitchen I think the place might work better over the summer as we were a bit cold, but nevertheless we had a lovely stay and were not at all cramped. the area around Aptos is quite amazing. and Les was very responsive to any of our concerns.

This was a one week family retreat. The location is in the mountains. Expect a steep drive and lots of stairs in the garden. For us this was a good athletic course after a year and a half of COVID hibernation. The house is very nicely furnished and accommodates all needs. The garden is amazing! We enjoyed the hummingbirds drinking and grooming from the fountain in the morning and the shady spot in the garden for afternoon meditation.

Peaceful Haven!

If you're looking for ultimate peace and R&R, this is the place! It was just my husband and I and our pups for the first few days of our stay and oh my goodness it was wonderful! Normally we listen to music but we didn't turn the music on once outside (where we spent all of our time from 0730 to 10pm) because of the incredible natural bird sanctuary in the backyard serenading us!!! We read books, relaxed, the dogs had a wonderful stay, it was absolute heaven! Our friends arrived with their two kids 7&9 and the kids absolutely loved the pool and running around the acreage finding lizards and learning about the different plants and trees! All in all we had a very peaceful trip and look forward to planning another stay with friends in the future!

Gorgeous stat that inspires a deep sense of peace

Pictures don’t do this property justice. From the moment we stepped inside, it’s like all or worries melted away. Nestled in a forest the house has with a lovely patio that had us spending lots of time lounging outdoors. The owners love here and had a full pantry with everything one could imagine, and left everything to share. The beds were comfortable and the rooms had many windows with shades. The owner was lovely and he even made a trip from San Francisco to help us with the hot tub . Thank you for a beautiful stay!

Lovely home, views - lots of stairs

We spent Christmas at this wonderful estate with lovely gardens, great architecture and quirky art. Loved it all. Had a few issues with the hot tub and electricity but the manager was right on them. The kitchen is well supplied but could use a little less clutter and it would have been nice to have a cabinet for our stuff. We had a great time and highly recommend staying here!

We had a wonderful time during our two months at Les' property. Large outdoor areas with beautiful gardens. Many varied species of plants which attract some lovely birds. Nice spaces to dine both inside and out. We worked during our stay and the internet was fast and reliable. The Owner was friendly and helpful with any questions we had. Highly recommend!

What a retreat!

We had a wonderful stay at this peaceful, secluded home. We found the home well-equipped for a week of cooking and lounging about. Our five teenagers loved the hot tub, pool and outdoor spaces. It's also just a short drive to the beaches in Aptos.

Beautiful garden and very close to the town. We went to the farmers market every Saturday and bought delicious fresh fruit and vegetables. The kids had fun playing everyday outside since the weather was perfect for outdoor activity. The bedrooms were spacious and each had their own modern accessorized bathroom. There are two patios to relax and even eat meals together. Even when the temperature outside is high the house remains cool. There is a refreshing pool and a hot tub, perfect for any weather. Les was very kind, always available, and respectful of our privacy. Would absolutely recommend for groups or for people with dogs.
