I was disappointed with having to take our trash off instead of having a dumpster to put it in. The hot water in the master bedroom didn't get hot no matter how long it ran. Other than these two issues, the house and property are beautiful.
The property is beautiful! There was plenty of room for the family. We especially loved the fire pit in the backyard. The kids loved the many games in the house and the vast yard. Beware of bears! A momma and her two cubs were in the front yard on the evening.
We were a group of four families that got together for a weekend of skiing at Cataloochee Mountain. This home was close, clean, convenient and very comfortable! Would definitely rent it again!
This was my groupâs first time staying in the mountainous part of Lake Junaluska/Waynesville. The steep roads took some getting used to, but the views were beautiful and the home and area around it were very peaceful and serene. The house was very clean on check-in, and there was lots of space for my group of eight to spread out and relax. A couple of issues came up over the week and the owner Delia was very prompt and courteous in responding to my questions/concerns. She was really great! Also there is the most adorable donkey we nicknamed Fernando and his little duck friend that follows him around just down the street who brought us a lot of joy. :-) We did a lot of cooking and baking in the kitchen (it was well-equipped) and laughing and talking around the table. Thank you for this wonderful week!
We loved our stay. The house sits on a hill and so pretty. It is huge, our kids all had their own space. It was peaceful and the fire pit was a great way to end the day. Youâre close enough to Cherokee and Maggie Valley to shop and sight see but far enough out to feel like your in the heart of the mountains.
We had a great time during our stay at this property. There were 21 in our group with ages ranging from less than a year old up to 70 years old, and we had plenty of room to sleep and spread out. The host was so helpful and friendly with all of my questions. We absolutely loved this home!
The driveway was very hard to get up due to gravel washed up from rain. They came to work on it and was much better. Would be nice if another bathroom was upstairs. House needs a few repairs and cleaned up better. I had to vacuum upstairs and clean floors downstairs. They need to have housekeeping wash towels and not depend on guest to do that before they leave. Also need a trash pickup,we had to carry trash with us because dumpster was closed. Overall the house was plenty big enough. The kids enjoyed fishing and petting the donkey. They also enjoyed the firepit. Good thing my son brought a portable grill because the gas grill was not in good shape. One of our kids left headphones by accident and they were kind enough to mail them to us. So overall we enjoyed our stay.
Perfect location and space for our big family Christmas gathering! We enjoyed snow tubing, the hot tub, hikes and a bonfire and plenty of lounging and eating and sleeping space for our family of 22. It was a memorable holiday for us all.
This house worked great for our group of 3 families. Lots of space, good sized kitchen, beautiful nature. The location isnât close to much, and the last mile or so of road is a slow gravel roadâso if youâre doing lots of going places, it takes awhile. The neighborhood donkey was a huge highlight, and the hot tub and fire pit are great! The bathroom layout is a little awkward for a big groupâthere are 2 full bathrooms in the master bedroom and just 2 small hall baths for the other 5 bedrooms and anyone in the common areas to share. When we arrived, there was a power issue with part of the house, but the owners were very responsive and got an electrician out immediately who fixed it. Overall, Iâd recommend it!
My husband and I love this quiet area, close to Interstate 40 which will take you into Tennessee in about 35 minutes to do the best white water rafting in the area and it can take you into Asheville in 30 minutes for great shopping and sight seeing.
