Very impressive! Above and beyond expectations!
We loved our stay at Cabin on the Creek. The cabin itself was beautiful and very clean and impeccably maintained. We were worried that it wouldn’t have enough things to cool with but low and behold, Ed and Dawn have stocked it with everything you could need. We will be making many return trips to this amazing property!
Could not have been more pleased.
We stayed here for a week, 5 adults, and as I said above we could not have been more pleased. That goes for the beautiful home, the secluded setting on Shetland Creek, the interior decor, the comfort of all of the furnishings, the exterior deck furniture, the stocked cooking- dinner-and drink ware, the entire package was outstanding. I travel regularly for work and pleasure and often use VRBO for my lodging needs and this place, without question, lived up to its advertised depiction more than any property I have stayed in before. The location is great, too, as indicated in the previous reviews, there is everything you might need only minutes away and the sightseeing and the outdoor activities available in the immediate area, on both land and water, are endless. I only gave this place five stars because ten was not an option, we highly recommend it. Hats off to the owners for presenting such a comfortable property for folks to enjoy.
Beautiful home, very secluded and private.
We loved this home.
It was very clean, well furnished and beautifully decorated.
The setting was perfect. So peaceful and quiet.
We loved exploring in the woods and being able to hear the creek.
I'm usually ready to come home by about halfway through a vacation, but I didn't want to leave this time.
It's very close to Glen Arbor and Leland and just a short drive to Sleeping Bear Dunes and Frankfort and Sutton's Bay.
The M22 market is almost next door and they make an excellent sandwich.
Charming, peaceful, roomy, extremely clean!
The Cabin on the Creek is extraordinarily nice. Cozy and secluded! Immaculate in its cleanliness. Lots and lots of wood architecture.
Would like to have a family get-together there in the future as there is plenty of room. Well-sited for travel to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore Park and the Traverse City area.
We loved Cabin on the Creek.
Thank you for a wonderful trip. Your home was so comfortable & decorated just lovely. Loved having coffee in the mornings on the deck & bonfires at night. Extra bonus - the rivers were full of salmon. Hope to be back next year.
Quiet and Serene!
My wife and I have been taking our summer vacations in the Traverse City area for the past 7 years. This was the first time that we chose to stay outside of the city, and we loved it! This was also the first time that our son, daughter-in-law and grandsons visited northern Michigan, and they loved it! This is the first time that we stayed at the Cabin on the Creek, and we all really loved it. It is located right off M-22 near Little Traverse Lake and Good Harbor, and it is tucked back away from the main road. That means that it is very quiet! Coming from living in the city in Ohio, we are accustomed to daily traffic noise, sirens, lawn mowers, blowers, etc. However, at the cabin, all you hear are the sounds of nature and the soft wind chimes hanging from the cabin deck. Mornings were spent sitting on the deck enjoying coffee, and watching the sun glitter through the trees while looking out upon Shetland Creek. Evenings were spent sitting beside the fire ring out back toasting marshmallows and making S'mores for the grandsons. The long drive was pleasant for morning walks with our dog, and along it's sides were wild blackberries that our grandsons loved. The cabin itself had everything one could need! Plenty of hot water. Plenty of towels. Washer and dryer [which are a must with kids]. The inside decor is done very tastefully in outdoor themes of camping, fishing and hunting. And we found the overall layout of the cabin practical and spacious such that we weren't stepping all over each other. My wife and I used the master bedroom upstairs and found the bed to be very comfortable. We've stayed at other places in the past where the bed wasn't, so it's always a plus to have it. Our grandsons used the twin beds upstairs and our son and daughter-in-law slept in the main level bedroom and there were no complaints from them. The positives of the Cabin on the Creek outweighed the negatives. As other guests have already noted, the WiFi works, but is not fast -- I had no problem checking emails or web browsing. Cell phones will not get a signal inside the cabin -- only outdoors. The downstairs walk out level is colder than the upper levels as someone has already noted. We did not use the satellite TV [which are on all levels] -- mainly because we were out enjoying the lake for the entire day, or sitting outside at the campfire. This cabin is in a great location to spend time at the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Seashore, trips to Glen Arbor or Leeland!
