About Suzanne Nicholas

We are a retired couple who have lived in St. Helena for over 30 years. If we are not traveling in the summer you will catch us fly fishing on Rock Creek in Montana or in the winter sitting on the beach in San Pancho, Mexico. The rest of the year we live in St. Helena and enjoy the beauty of the valley and the access to great wines. We hope you enjoy our home in St. Helena.

Suzanne Nicholas purchased this house in 1990

Great location, great kitchen, front porch, and back yard entertaining

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I had a near-perfect four night stay here with her sister and her husband. This location is perfect for getting to any of the wineries in the Napa valley or even Sonoma, and you can walk into St. Helena and the nearby wineries and great dining options. We also cooked about 4-5 meals in the kitchen which has a high-end gas stovetop/oven, and all-clad pots and pans. If we get an opportunity we would definitely stay here again. The living areas and especially the front porch and back yard sitting areas were all very comfortable and made for an excellent vacation spot. Sipping coffee on the front porch on the cool early mornings was particularly nice. My only critical comment is that the beds weren't quite as comfortable as I might have liked. Specifically, there may have been a mattress protector on the bed, as it didn't seem to "breathe" well, so I ended up feeling hot quite often during the night on the side of me resting against the bed, and the bed pillows were quite thin. Again, this is just being picky compared to the overall experience we had, and could be chalked up to my own peculiarities. It was a great place in a great location, and one we hope to visit again someday.

Darling Cottage, Great Location

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this cottage with another couple and it was a perfect size. We had never been to Napa Valley before and are so glad we stayed in St. Helena. We had beautiful weather and made good use of the large back patio. Would absolutely stay here again.

A week of wine tours and tastings!

  • 5 of 5

This house is a true two bedroom/two bathroom home.

It has a very open kitchen/living area where two or more couples can gather.

The kitchen was well stocked in the cabinets and fridge.

The back yard is beautiful!

We will stay again.

What a delight!!

  • 5 of 5

We spent the July 4th holiday - 4 nights and had a wonderful time. The cottage is awesome. It is clean and comfortable and beyond cute. Great layout, comfortable beds, fabulous outdoor spaces.

The neighborhood is very quiet and super convenient to downtown St. Helena (both walking and driving). Being a little north kept us away from the holiday weekend crowds and allowed us to explore north into the Alexander Valley and Russian River Valley. Found a few new favorite small vineyards and had a phenomenally relaxing time.

Great house in perfect location

  • 5 of 5

We stayed with another couple for a dual anniversary weekend. The house has a fantastic kitchen and outdoor space. We were able to grill out and hang out in the backyard after a day of wine tastings. Would stay here again!
