This bright, quiet cottage is situated on 6 wooded acres only minutes from Ganges, Salt Spring Island, BC. It is the perfect romantic get away for people who need a break from the fast pace of the city. It's only minutes from the famous Ganges Saturday market. A quick ride up to Mount Maxwell brings you to the best views on the Southern Gulf Islands. Like yoga? Well, we are a quick walk down a country road to the Salt Spring Island Yoga Centre.
The owners are a certified Acupuncturist and an advanced Rolfer. We'll bring the treatments to you.
Paradise doesn't get much better than this.
We moved to the island to get closer to nature and raise our family. We want to share Salt Spring with others. What drew us here will probably draw you too: the artists, the alternative lifestyle, the peacefulness, the beauty, the healing, the friendliness. Salt Spring has it all and is arguably the nicest place to live in Canada. Salt Spring is a natural fit for us. We are both healers and this is a healing place. Our healing techniques make a lot more sense right up close to nature. Enjoy any one of our specialties; Acupuncture, Craniosacral Therapy, Rolfing, private yoga or the Alexander Technique.

A wonderful relaxing getaway before the arrival of our new little one. Thanks so
much Bruce and Kathe. We loved the tranquil cottage in the woods!
We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. We really appreciate how well equipt the cabin was and the little details like good knives, lovely sheets and the lounging chairs on the porch. We thoroughly enjoyed all that Salt Spring Island had to offer and the cabin was a perfect oasis in the trees.
The cabin was perfect for our little getaway and Bruce was wonderful with accommodating some scheduling changes. Salt Spring is always a treat and we will for sure return to the happy nest when we can!
Lovely rustic cabin. The only down side was the squawking birds (not sure what type) from the farm across the street....no fault of the owners of the cabin....but certainly spoiled the peaceful vibe.
I absolutely loved my solo stay in this cozy little cabin and it was the perfect place to retreat to on my first visit to Salt Spring. It was tucked away far enough from town that I felt like I was in nature but it was still only a quick drive down to Ganges (less than 5 minutes). I met with the owner as I checked in but my privacy was respected for the duration of my stay. The cabin was a tiny bit more rustic than I expected from the photos but that made me love it even more. The bed was extremely comfortable as other guests have mentioned and it definitely allowed me a good night's rest. Very soft. I was delighted that on both of the mornings, multiple deer nibbled in front of the big windows and I was constantly hearing birds and the sounds of nature. The sun hits the deck perfectly in the afternoon.
It is a few minute drive to the Mt. Maxwell which I would recommend for some amazing views (fairly steep road with deep potholes in order to get up though so be prepared).
I would fully recommend this getaway spot to couples looking for some alone time or anyone who needs a break from the bustle of life. I stayed for two nights but I felt like it wasn't quite long enough. I would love to come back! Terrific hospitality. I miss the HappiNest already!
A wonderful, cozy escape. My partner and I loved staying at the cottage. It's very private and only a short drive to Ganges. We loved having use of the woodstove and enjoyed being surrounded by trees. It was the perfect place to unplug and recharge.
The kitchen could use maybe a few more stocked items like salt and pepper, but lucky for us we stocked up at the Salt Spring Market and picked up some yummy local sea salts. We would definitely recommend staying here and look forward to visiting again!
This is a wonderfully cozy little cabin that is perfect for a weekend getaway. It's a very close drive to Ganges but once you get to the cabin it's like you are in a another world. Very private and the cabin is well maintained with everything we needed. We brought our bikes but it's a little too hilly for riding around and the roads are quite narrow. You are best off with your own car. The bed is heavenly! The description and other reviews give a really good idea what to expect and Bruce was very prompt at responding to questions. Thanks for a great stay!
Famous Saturday Market in Ganges, Artist Tour all over the island, 15 minutes to views from Mount Maxwell, Ruckle Park, 10 Minute walk to Salt Spring Yoga Centre, 2 Minutes to Golfing, minutes to the ocean and lakes.
