What makes this cabin unique

This property is very unique and offers privacy and great outdoor spaces. It is located close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Waynesville, and Asheville. There are many hiking trails, rivers, creeks, waterfalls, golf courses, shops, and restaurants.

Guestbook comments from the owner

This was a great stay. The cottage is well done and we love the setting. You might want to tell first timers to turn across from the fire station as the street sign is missing. We could have used a toaster but otherwise everything was well equipped and in working order.

[We now have a toaster!]

This cabin was more than I expected. My husband and sons immediately went to the backyard. Within 15 minutes, my husband had a fire going on in the outside covered fireplace (picnic area), and my 2 boys were fishing in the pond. We almost didn't want to leave and go exploring, but that was part of the vacation. The house is very well kept and has everything that you need. The pictures doesn't do this place justice. The hardwood floors are beautiful! You will have chickens and rooster in the front yard. I enjoyed looking at the full moon above the mountain between the pine trees. This was the most adventuresome trip we have ever taken. You must go out and explore and see the waterfalls, the Biltmore, Cherokee Indian Reservation, Cataloochie, and Maggie Valley, and of course, go fishing and tubing! We loved this place!

Quiet and relaxing

  • 5 of 5

Just as advertised. Would stay here again. Welcomed to the home by the neighboring rooster and his bevy of hens; he was quite considerate and did not crow before 730 each morning. DO NOT try to use your GPS to get to the Blue Ridge Parkway; turning right out of the driveway eventually dead ends.

This is our third stay at this property and it feels like coming home.

My aunt Vena McCall and a couple of cousins live just down the road. We love to rent this property due to the proximity to them. It is always clean and ready for us whenever we arrive. With the pond and outdoor fire area it is a fantastic place for a retreat. We look forward to returning over and over.

My family loved everything about this cabin!!

  • 5 of 5

Great place for all ages! Our group consisted of two adults, two teenage boys, and my seven year old daughter and everyone enjoyed it! There is a creek across the road, pond in the back yard, an awesome outdoor fireplace area, and an endless number of stars in the sky. We will definitely visit again!

Cozy, cute cabin!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was much roomier than we expected. We are from a rural area so the distance to town and Asheville were not out of the way, about 15 mins from Waynesville and Canton and 45 to Asheville. There is a gas station/mart a few miles away and a dollar general within about 5 miles. The outdoor fireplace was amazing. Thanks for sharing your home!

Car: necessary

Fishing in private backyard pond and stream requires no fishing license, horseshoe pits adjacent to picnic shelter on property, spectacular golf course only two miles north on US 276.
