About the property

Cabin, 3 Bedrooms + Loft, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 13)

Located in Meridian Lake subdivision, on the edge of miles of wilderness. Only three miles to the historic town of Crested Butte and the Mt.Crested Butte ski area.

Rustic for sure, but in a spectacular setting...the views from this property are breathtaking...in the midst of single track riding, (the Upper Loop, Long Lake,403,the Lower Loop, 401) and amazing 4-wheel roads (Paradise Divide, Schofield Park, the Slate River Road.) Ride all trails from the cabin, and less than one mile from the Snodgrass Trailhead.

Basically furnished, nice linens. Fireplace, grill. Grandpa built the Cabin so everyone could come and enjoy hiking, biking, and skiing. A King and two queens on the main floor...the loft sleeps six!

Why Susan Eskew chose Crested Butte

Crested Butte's cool clean air inspires me to be more active, to hike and bike. I take time to enjoy the quiet, the stars, my friends and family.

What makes this cabin unique

Dark skies, spotting abundant wildlife, astonishing views, access to trails and backcountry.

Guestbook comments from the manager

Thank you so much for the perfect house! We had a wonderful weekend racing in the Alley Loop 21K skate and a conference 5K classic race. The cabin was the perfect place for us to hang out and study after long days skiing. Thanks!

Oklahoma Family stay at Grandpa's Cabin

  • 5 of 5

Nine members of our family just returned from a 5 day stay at Grandpa's cabin. What a treat for all of us. View was incredible and plenty of amenities for a group to stay comfortably with 3 bathrooms, dishwasher and washer and dryer. Plenty of outdoor adventures within short distance and fishing at nearby Lake Erwin and river sites. we will definitely come again next year. Susan was great to work with.

Owner's Response: Rustic, and all the essentials is how Grandpa liked to roll! Getting away from work and the big city drew him here, and once he got here he was either hiking, fishing, or skiing! In between he would sit and drink coffee and look at the gorgeous view of the mountain, or have a glass of wine in front of a cozy fire. That about sums up Grandpa's Cabin!

Unbelievable Views, Incredible Location, Quintessential Mountain Home

  • 5 of 5

My group & I had the pleasure of staying at grandpa's cabin during our annual fall trip to Crested Butte to mountain bike and enjoy the beautiful fall weather. We were so pumped on our decision to rent this home! The views are unreal, with massive windows giving you an unbelievable view of mountain crested butte. Great location, a short drive to the resort, town, or any backcountry adventures. The home had plenty of room to comfortable hold all 13 of us. The homeowners were super easy to get in touch with, and very accommodating! Truly one of the best homeaways I have done. Thank you so much for making our trip so memorable

Spectacular views!

  • 5 of 5

Grandpa's cabin was perfect for our large family. There were 12 of us plus 2 dogs and we had plenty of room! The views were spectacular and we thoroughly enjoyed the nearby hiking trails and lake. Susan was very prompt in getting back to me about any questions I had. For anyone that has a large family and enjoys the great outdoors... this is the place! Kim S. Buffalo NY
