B4 is a private 2-floor house with beautiful garden and access to a conservatory – providing a perfect retreat in Reykjavik that is close to everything. Spacious 90 sq m, open kitchen and living room with 50s furniture and family memorabilia on the ground floor. Two bedrooms on the second floor: Master bedroom with a double bed, large closet and plenty of space. Second smaller bedroom with either two singles or a bunk bed (depending on your preference) and a work desk. Double sofa bed in the living room.

B4 is in a quiet residential area, at the foot of the most popular outdoor area in the City Center with nice walking paths and short distance to the only beach in Reykjavik. 1 minute walk to the bus station and 10 minutes to Kringlan, a main shopping center in Reykjavik. Private parking space for the house. Family friendly environment with toys and Wii for the kids.

The owners live in the main building at the front of the garden so any problems or questions can be dealt with quickly. The owners will be happy to help with any planning of your activities while in Iceland. Access to conservatory and garden is shared with owners.

About Agust & Hulda

We are two professionals in mid 50s - with two of the youngest ones still living at home. We work as managers in education and European cooperation which we have been involved with for many years. So we are quite used to and found of receiving people from many countries.

Why Agust & Hulda chose Reykjavik

Hulda's parents built the property in the 1980s to their needs: large family room and a special house in the back end of the garden that would serve as artists workplace, a place to live when the kids were old enough to almost move out - and then to rent our to family and friends. Now you too can experience this family complex.

What makes this house unique

You will be experiencing a real Icelandic home - as we live in the main building. You will enjoy the full privacy of B4 when needed, but if you want you can join us in the garden (weather permitting) or the conservatory - where we like to sit down for a conversation and a glass of wine: we are happy to talk about the history of Iceland, global warming, travelling in our country or to compare notes on traveling in different countries as we have traveled quite a lot - at least within Europe.

A True Home Away From Home

We arrived in Reykjavik in between stays near Vik and on Snaefellsnes. It was a wonderful "city" stop in a beautiful home. Agust and Hulda have provided everything a traveller needs, plus some. (In addition, having laundry and a fully-equipped kitchen was just what we needed during the middle of our trip.) It was perfect for our family of four. We arrived without a definite itinerary for our days there, and Agust provided useful, insightful knowledge about the area, tailored to our family, that truly enhanced our trip. In addition, they were kind enough to hunt down an item our little one left behind and allow us to return days later to pick it up. We left with wonderful memories of this lovely property and hope to return again.

Great stay at B4!

This was a lovely place for us to stay during our recent visit to Iceland! Our hosts were gracious and informative, always willing to help us plan our itinerary! Agust communicated quickly, gave great information, and provided insightful and interesting conversation about Iceland when we had a few minutes to sit with him in his beautiful conservatory! The place was comfortable, warm and well furnished. It was close to everything! We would love to return and stay there again!

Perfect base to relax on your trip

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at B4. The interior is simply decorated with beautiful woodwork items. There is plenty of light and one feels at home all the time. It is very private. Access to nearby parks is quick and easy by foot. If you have a car the location is excellent, whether you want to head into the city (10 minutes) or elsewhere in any direction. Our hosts Agust and Hulda were very helpful and always available for questions. Our favorite part of the trip were recommendations that they offered. And then there is Safir, what a great dog!

Lovely place on the outskirts of Reykjavik

Everything was just spectacular, and I cannot say enough good things about Agust and Hulda (and their very cute and friendly dog)!

At first I was a little wary that I had to pay through PayPal because HomeAway doesn't allow you to pay through the site in Iceland yet, but Agust and Hulda marked my payments through HomeAway as soon as they received them, and it ended up being flawless. I had a million little questions before we arrived, and they answered all of them quickly and kindly. They were incredibly cheerful about having to greet one of us at 3am and the rest of us at 8am to let us in the house, and they even had treats waiting for us!

We visited for New Year's Eve, and the house stayed toasty warm. It's not right downtown, but it was close enough that we walked there and back. It was a bit of a hike, but definitely doable. It's also pretty high up, so it has a lovely view of the city. If I did it over again, I would have skipped the New Year's Eve tour I paid for and just walked a few feet away from the house - it would have been a really great view of the crazy amount of fireworks that go off throughout the city!

For the few tours that were unable to pick us up directly from the house and the FlyBus to the airport, we were able to walk to Capital Inn (about a 5-10 min walk). It was also a short walk to a couple of grocery stores, and the house everything you need to make meals on your own. Iceland is very expensive, so we ended up making almost all of our meals at the house. Also - alcohol is almost twice as much in the city as it is in the airport, so make sure to stock up there!

The weather was awful, but the house was amazing! If I ever come back, I'm staying there again!

Amazing Christmas 2016 in Iceland

Great location and Agust and Hulda were very gracious guests, providing greats tips about Iceland (Which waterfalls to visit, which restaurants to check out, and where to get the fermented skate on Dec 23 : ))

House had everything we needed, clean, well stocked, nice and warm close to everything with a parking spot.

Having a kitchen was great for those nights when we wanted to save a couple dollars by cooking something instead of dining out.

This was our first time to Iceland and we would absolutely come back as well as stay @B4

Set in a quiet residential area, close to the small green hill where “the Pearl” sits – providing nice walking paths and short distance to the only beach in Reykjavik. Green but very centrally located.

If you want to spend New Years Eve - there is possible not a better spot on the Planet to do so if you like fireworks; the hill side has the perfect view over the crazy Reykjavik sky at midnight and you can join the family party afterwards or join the may concerts taking place until the wee hours of new years morning.

If you are here for the Reykjavik Marathon in August - its a great location with plenty of practice trails + the owners will show you the route.

If you want to come for the Gay parade and festivals in early August we have all the information and contacts if you want to participate in the parade itself.
