This unique property, which was originally constructed in 1908, was completely rebuilt and decorated in 2009. The rebuilding kept intact the apartment's classic San Franciscan style as well as its feel. The flat is located in the heart of Telegraph Hill's North Beach area, San Francisco's most desirable location due to its uniquely good weather, sun exposure and centrality to many of the city's most attractive features. The apartment's positioning on Telegraph Hill places it steps below Coit Tower, a location that allows for breathtaking views of the San Francisco skyline.

The property has a living/dining room, kitchen, 1 bedroom, 1 full bath, and a large roof terrace. The living/dining area enjoys southern light exposure year-round and has spectacular views of both Nob Hill and Russian Hill through its large windows. The kitchen itself is equipped with a new 24' Viking range, 24' high end apartment refrigerator, and a high quality Bosch dishwasher. The bedroom is above a quiet street and the bathroom has a full shower and claw foot tub. The terrace has full sun and has a peek-a-boo view of the Golden Gate bridge.

North Beach is a wonderful part of San Francisco characterized by its culture and nightlife. There is an abundance of restaurants, shopping and tourist destinations within walking distance from the flat that include City Lights Bookstore, Mama's Cafe and Mario's Bohemian Cigar Shop. From the apartment to North Beach's Washington Square is about a 3 minute walk.

About The Owner

Our names are Mark and Tami Becker and we are design professionals. Over the years we have been fortunate enough to travel extensively throughout the world visiting relatives in England, celebrating our marriage in Greece, living abroad in France and Tami even navigated her way through the Gobi desert. All of this traveling has led to our home in San Francisco.

Why The Owner chose North Beach

San Francisco is home to a great deal of diversity and culture and North Beach is the heart of that culture. Also, because Mark is a designer, he insisted upon finding a location with good weather and proximity to the quaint, classic areas of the city. We love this location due to the ability to walk everywhere and the feeling of being in a large city, but not being overwhelmed. North Beach is the epitome of a comfortable, inviting neighborhood with all the positive features of a large city.

What makes this apartment unique

The outdoor patio is a beautiful respite after a day spent exploring the city. The patio is quiet and has spectacular views that can be appreciated at any time of day, whether you have just woken up or are coming home after a long night out. Another favorite feature is that the surrounding areas can easily be visited on foot, and public transportation or cab travel can get you everywhere else. We love that a car is not a necessity. On a normal day, we wake up and walk to a café and relax before heading out on our explorations. The truth is, North Beach has a feel that is very much like that of a classic European city with cafés, good restaurants and classic architecture.

Nice Place Centrally Located

Very clean place, centrally located. Deck views of the city were quite nice. Needs shades or curtains on the back windows as the sun in the afternoon can turn the place into an oven. Prepare to walk, a lot, and uphill but the exercise was great. No washer dryer but a great laundry is about two blocks away for $1.50 a pound. It is the top level of a two level unit and you can hear those in the unit below, and can assume they can hear you. Besides that, the location is extremely quiet. Parking spot is SUPER small and any car over about 6 feet in width simply will not fit. Enjoyed the stay.

Amazing views and classy, stylish, super cute apartment

My husband and I rented this apartment for 2 nights for our 10 year anniversary and we could not be happier with our stay. The location is amazing! Telegraph Hill - every walk (uphill) home we would gaze at Coit Tower, literally just a few stairs away. We walked to get dinner, enjoyed the church bells, and most of all the rooftop deck is AMAZING! You can see Golden Gate bridge and then just a stunning view of the surrounding area. We spent a lot of time out there.

The apartment itself is so well done. Every little detail was done to perfection and the obviously recent renovation only enhanced the historical details and charm. There are 2 fireplaces and a wonderful large tub to enjoy as well. The decorating was superb and every need we had was met. It was easy to work the owner and because of the keyless lock, it was easy peasy coming and going.

We would highly recommend this superb apartment. You can get anywhere quickly and the views are to die for. Wonderful!

I loved it!

It was a wonderful week for me, and your lovely apartment helped make it so. It was warm and inviting from the moment I walked in. Everything I needed was there, and the location was great, even if the steep climb up Greenwich was a killer. (I'm almost 72!) But I'd do it again! If you'd like two practical tips: the stools in the kitchen are falling apart and need to be fixed. Also an extra (empty) shelf in the bathroom, right above the toilette, would give space for toiletries. And(number three, I know), you might let people know from the start that the parking space is just big enough for a mini (not even a compact). Not a problem for me as my daughter dropped me off then picked me up a week later, and she has a mini. My Camry would not have fit. But, these were all minor points for me. Again, I loved this apartment!

Owner's Response: Hi Judith Thanks you so much for the input. We will order new stools right away and explore the possibility of a shelf above the toilet. I do realize the parking space is tight however it can accommodate a variety of mid size cars as long as the passenger leaves the car first. We regularly park our Prius and my son's Toyota Rav4. It definitely cannot handle anything much bigger. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and we would love to have you back again. Mark B

Everything I was looking for.

The apartment is exactly what I was looking for, what I needed. For a 15-night stay, it provided a sense of home and charm level that matches San Francisco itself. I loved the two fireplaces--one in the living room and the second in the bedroom. I didn't have a car, and the location of the apartment was such that the absence of a car (and Lyft here and there periodically) was not a problem. The apartment is uphill, about as close as you can get to Coit Tower. After 15 days, I went home in great shape!

Perfect location!

This apartment is perfectly located to explore the city on foot! Just below Coit Tower. Lots of hill climbing, but wonderful walking to amazing architecture and natural beauty. For a change from the busy city drive across the GG bridge to Marin headlands for a hike to the beach and enjoy lunch in Sausalito. The property is bright and clean with a sweet patio and gorgeous views of the city. Very comfy bed. Quiet neighborhood. Great after a day of exploring the noisy wonderful streets of SF. Would definitely recommend to friends.
