Wonderful Beach House in Hawaii for a Family Getaway

Our extended family of eight recently stayed at this beautiful beach house in Hawaii, and we couldn't be more pleased with our experience. The property provided plenty of room to spread out, plus there were adequate spaces that allowed us to gather and enjoy time togetherThe house was clean and comfortably furnished for lounging around inside as well as out on the deck. It has a well-stocked kitchen with everything we needed, an array of games to keep everyone entertained, including a ping-pong table plus snorkels/masks, towels and coolers for beach outings.The house was off the main highway down a steep winding road and located close to the water. It was in a quiet neighborhood away from the congestion of traffic. There is a good view of the water, spectacular sunsets, and beautiful night sky viewing. Cheryl, the property owner is a good communicator. She lives close by and is familiar with beaches, restaurants, etc. She acted quickly to address a plumbing issue that was quickly resolved.Overall, this beach house exceeded our expectations and provided us with a memorable and relaxing family vacation. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a spacious and laidback place away from the tourist congestion of Kona. We can recommend this house without reservation. Aloha!

This property was a great stay. Linda, the owner was marvelous to communicate withWe arrived strangers and we left friends. The Balinese style house was great. My upstairs room was unique and comfortable and a perfect hideaway. The gardens were lush and pretty. OB the Cat was a delightful greeter on our arrival. I would recommend this property to anyone as long as you're not afraid of geckos.They are so cute.

My family had a wonderful visit, and we enjoyed the privacy of this location. Every morning and evening we sat on the porch and looked for whales. Dan, the property owner, was very responsive and gave helpful recommendations for activities and places to visit. The house had everything we needed, and check in and out was very easy!! We plan to stay here again on our next visit to the Big Island!

Our family had a wonderful time enjoying the island of Hawaii! Being able to stay at Melanie and Craig’s residence was an added bonus. The outdoor space along with the beautiful infinity pool overlooking the ocean was one of my favorite things about the house. The sunsets were truly amazing. Definitely worth waiting for either in the pool or the lanai! As mentioned by others the road to get to the place has lots of turns, but there’s fruit stands along the way! The neighborhood was quiet and our family enjoyed morning walks in the area.

A terrific house with an amazing lanai/view. This would be a great place for a few couples to go to hang out together for a bit. It is out of the way, which of course is part of his charm. The hosts thought of just about everything and are wonderfully communicative. The hammock is heaven and feeding the fish is so fun. Great kitchen too.

Simply amazing!

The pictures don't do it justice! We spent so much time on the lanai just taking in the beauty.... amazing any time of day but the sunsets are spectacular. It's so relaxing and we would have loved to stay longer. This home is really comfortable. We enjoyed eating on the lanai each day and we loved the outdoor shower! Dan is an incredible host, very responsive and helpful whenever we needed something. We will definitely be back!

I had been looking for a special vacation ever since I was diagnosed with a terminal lung disease and given 2-5 years to live. I wanted a special place for my family to gather. Growing up in the 1960's, the Beach Boys House connected with me. I am so glad that we picked this place of peace and serenity. My wife and I invited our children and their families. We also invited some very close friends. When we first arrived at the house, all of us were so excited to be spending ten days at this paradise. It became the hub to all of our activities on the Big Island. It was a 25-minute ride into Captain Cook and 45-minute ride into Kona for many of our day trips. To some this may seem too much, but let me tell you, when your return to the house, it really felt like home. Because of its location, it was much cooler than being down in Kona all the time. The estate came with a magnificent pool and hot tub, which were the center of activity while at the house. Another unique feature was the property. There were fruit trees full of coconuts, mangos, avocados, bananas, lemons, limes, oranges, cacao pods and much more. The property also had turkeys, Hawaiian pheasants, mongoose, a few pigs, chickens and a wide variety of birds. Everyone enjoyed walking the grounds and finding new discoveries every day, We also had a wonderful dinner catered at the house by Jasmine's "Heartbeet." As my daughter said: This place was what one envisions the real Hawaii experience to be.
