We purchased our home in 2009. We have been coming to the West Shore of Lake Tahoe for 40 years. We love to sit by the beach, hike, ski, and dig the snow off the bear box. Puzzles are an important part of every visit.
Owner purchased this House in 2009
Why Owner chose Tahoma
This side of the lake is peaceful, quaint with that old Tahoe feel. The location is close to all activities yet you feel away.
What makes this House unique
We love to make ice cream in the summer, watch the fireworks from our deck, get Tahoma Market sandwiches, and watch the stars from the deck. We hope you have a great stay.

Beautiful vacation home
We have rented this home before. It's perfect for a girls weekend with our kiddos. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor space for people to spread out during the day and then come together in the cozy living room at night to watch a movie or play a game. The kitchen has basic spices and cooking needs to make a delicious meal. Close by to different attractions making it easy to sled or go into town for a bite to eat. We had a great time!
Beautiful sunrises and moonrises from the home
What a spectacular spot. We came with my parents,Aunt/Uncle and husband and myself. The views from the master bedroom were incredible
To wake up with the sunrise was the best. Great location for exploring trails and beautiful drive
To get there. Everything was clean. Saw a peregrine falcon and hummingbirds. No bear. But lots of rules to follow to make it safe! Good instructions. Best way to end Our whirlwind trip. If we had more time we would have hung out on the porch more. Thanks!!
Lake Tahoe Beautiful Views
We were so pleased with everything this home had go offer. It was comfortable and well equipped that we made all of our meals there. The hiking and water recreation were so close we were able to load the car and be there quickly. We didn' t want to leave. Next time we' ll stay longer.
Perfect Location and Wonderful Hosts
I stayed at the Sweetwater Cabin over 4th of July Weekend with my family and it was perfect. The Cabin was beautiful, well maintained, clean, modern, and comfortable. We were able to walk to Meeks bay easily, and the drive to Emerald Bay and hiking trails was close. The views from the deck of the cabin can't be beat. The hosts are super accommodating too and we can't wait to come back!
My wife and I stayed a total of 19 glorious days at this lovely home, and it was our second year of doing so. After five years of renting homes in the Tahoma-Meeks Bay area, we could not find a better location for our summer getaway! We utilized the two decks for gazing out at the lake at various times during the day and just could not get enough! The kitchen is wonderful, and everything a person wants in the way of creating a perfect meal is there for the chef! Every corner of the home is beautifully appointed and the beds are gloriously comfortable as well. If you are looking for the ultimate sense of peace and tranquility, then look no further than this home! Simply stated, we cannot wait to return and really, I wish we were still there! Thank you David and Dana for sharing your home!
Fabulous place, great views, owner was wonderful
We loved every aspect of this place and are looking forward to coming back.
It is a beautiful home, very clean, well-organized, updated everything, and well-stocked (great movie collection). It also stayed plenty warm, which was important to me. The views were even better than I expected. The area is very quiet and peaceful. We loved sledding down the hill on the property with our young daughter and snow-shoeing through the beautiful forest area adjacent to the house.
Dana could not have been more friendly and helpful. She is extremely responsive and kind.
One note: We came in a Prius with cables on the tires. We almost couldn't make it up the hill to the house on one occasion due to snow and ice. I would recommend coming with a 4-wheel drive vehicle in the winter (Also, use her directions to the house, not Google maps. When we used the Google directions to her address we were unable to make it in our Prius, even with cables.)
