About Ronald & Janie Dyer

My husband and I are farmers. We have 3 kids and 8 grandkids. We live here on this working farm. The cabins are located on this farm, but are off to theirself. If you want you can visit the farm where we have cows, pigs and horses. We also grow our on vegtables and have a sawmill where we saw our own lumber for the cabins. You can see all this!!!

Ronald & Janie Dyer purchased this cabin in 2005

What makes this cabin unique

It's quiet, peaceful, secluded in the 25 acres of woods that surround the cabins. Deer roam in the field near the horses and cattle on this working farm. It is located 10 minutes from Blairsville and 5 minutes from Wal Mart. .Sitting in rocking chairs on the deck you can drink your morning coffee and listen to the sounds of birds, squirrls and the serenity of the forrest.

If you want a truly rustic getaway

  • 5 of 5

The stay was incredibly authentic, you are literally a quarter mile down this narrow path all by yourself. Adjacent to the deer-field is the other cabin Moose lodge but you are quietly secluded. We had an amazing Christmas here made memories and even cooked a full Turkey dinner here. Warm and Cozy this little cabin was, the owners were probably the most hospitable people I've met. Ronnie thank you for helping us when us when we locked our selves out. The only thing that could of been better the porch light wasn't working so we put Christmas lights on the railing problem solved. I would certainly come back, Id like to see it in the summer or early fall.

Beware of mice

  • 3 of 5

Quaint, secluded place. Was very dusty. Was perfect for my small girls trip but the trip was ruined when we spotted a mouse in the kitchen. Didn't like the homeowners response when we called her about the pest. Her response came off as if she was blaming us for the mouse being there. She eventually came over with mouse traps and attempted to find it but was unsuccessful. Needless to say,it ruined the remainder of our trip.

Wonderful little cabin tucked away in the woods!

  • 5 of 5

Mt family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Dyer’s rustic cabin. It was comfortable and cozy, perfect for a family of four. Some of the furnishings and linens are a bit outdated, but still very comfortable and right for the price. My 3 year old enjoyed the nearby playground and seeing the cows, and we all had fun just walking around the nearby property and seeing the fall colors. There is a small pond directly behind the cabin for fishing, but it was pretty cold outside so we didn’t use it. Good location between Blairsville and Blue Ridge. The owners were helpful and responsive to email/phone. We would definitely stay here again!
