Property type cabin
Minimum Stay 2 nights

About the property

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 6)

That's right, when you stay at Reeves Roost you'll also agree. Dense woods provide privacy and an intimate setting for your complete satisfaction!

Quaintly located on the Toccoa River with beautiful scenic views, you can enjoy everything the river has to offer: swimming, fishing, and our favorite, tubing. Along the river and at the base of our cabin lies a green field decorated by colorful wild flowers. At night, fire flies and stars light up the sky. Sorry, pets are NOT allowed.

Relax in one of the many swings, rocking chairs, or hammocks on the porch, which is nestled high amongst tall pine trees. Plenty of trails are located in the bordering Chattahoochee National Forest, including the Appalachian. Other activities nearby include horseback riding, zip lining, multiple golf courses, whitewater rafting, trout fish hatchery, water falls, and antique shopping. Nearby towns are Blairsville, Blue Ridge, Dahlonega, Elijay, Helen, and Dillard.

We would love for you to come and enjoy our cabin as we have for so many years. See why our renters come back year after year.

Peaceful and relaxing

  • 5 of 5

You can sit in one of many rocking chairs or swings. The roar of the river can be heard from the house.

Owner's Response: So glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again soon. You are right the river sounds are great for sleeping especially in the spring and summer when you have the windows open. Also, rain on the tin roof at night makes for a peaceful sleep. Thanks Jim

Really enjoyed the peace and quiet. The fireplace was so great on the wintery night. The water was exceptionally clear and delicious😁?

Me,my wife and two kids ages 14 and 6 had an amazing time at Reeves, tucked way back off the mountain side it was still easy to get around in my four cylinder Jeep Patriot, inside was immaculate and the view in the yard was breathtaking, plenty of local things to do and places to eat,the owner was very quick to return messages and stayed in contact well, its safe to say we will be returning

Owner's Response: So glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again soon.I really thought you would get snow but I think you missed by two days. That would have been great for a Florida guy to see the cabin and the valley when it snows, it's beautiful.

It,s our get out of the Florida heat in the summer.Temptures even in the summer thru July are nice and the felling fan are enough at night to leave the windows open. Please come back soon.

The cabin was located in a breath taking area, with a creek running behind. Located in the middle of everything. You are within 45 minutes of any activity you can think of along with great restaurants to eat.

Owner's Response: We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. You were there at the best time, as the leaves where so late in changing this year. And you are right, the cabin is located in the middle of Blue Ridge, Blairsville and Dahlonega. Great little North Georgia towns with lots to see. Thanks, and come again soon !

Owner's Response: So glad you are enjoying your stays at our cabin and see you have booked two more for the future. The sunsets over the mountains at the top of the road are my favorite. And the river sounds all night make sleeping easy and to wake up in the morning to the many birds that come to the feeders..

About James Reeves

We are both third and forth generation Tampa natives. We both are retired and enjoying every minute of it. We now live on a large ski lake in Land-o-Lakes,Fl. just north of Tampa .

Why James Reeves chose Blue Ridge

We vacation in the area in the area in a small travel trailer with our two sons and fell in love with area. We then started looking of a lot on the river to build our cabin. We now spend more time with our grandkids and love it as much as we do.

What makes this cabin unique

We love the solitude, fireflys, deer, the sounds of the river, dinning on the porch and rain on the tin roof top.
