About Lisa Stover

We spend the rest of the year in Chicago in the very busy fields of Real Estate, Wine Sales, Hotel Management, Senior Care, Medicine, Research and School. After a crazy year we all look forward to a short but special visit to our home in Maine!

Lisa Stover purchased this house in 2004

Why Lisa Stover chose Boothbay Harbor Area

This home was ours the moment we found it! There was no question that we would enjoy many years and great times raising our family and watching it grow in this home.

What makes this house unique

This home affords both a quiet serene ocean view and a quick walk into town. We think it's the best of both worlds, accommodating the reader and the shoppers in the group. Park the car and forget about it!

Quaint New England cottage, plenty of space for the 4 of us , could have doubled that and still been comfortable. Excellent location within walking distance to town, and what a cute town to stroll around. Went to the botanical gardens, which was awesome, took the advise of your kindly neighbors to take the shuttle, all went well.

would definitely contact you again for rental in another season to enjoy the seashore. Your home is very comfortable and inviting.

Adorable house in a great location!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I just got back from a week long stay and had a fabulous time! This house is exactly as it looks in the pictures. It is the quintessential New England home! Very comfortable and well stocked. The porch and backyard are great for relaxing, building a fire, grilling, etc. The location of the house is ideal, as it is a quick walk into town for food, ice cream, shopping, etc. We took several early morning walks in the area, which provided fantastic views! Not only did the adults have a great time, but so did our young children, who were sad to leave. We won't hesitate to stay here again when we're back in the Boothbay area!

Highlight of our Trip.

  • 5 of 5

House was everything we could have hoped for. It was very tastefully decorated and comfortable. Just what you would expect from that Maine setting. There is a nice couple that lives above the garage. They introduced themselves when we pulled up. But really didn't notice them for the remainder of the stay. Thanks for sharing you house with us. Our kids want to make this an annual trip.

We are from Florida and decided to try something different and spend a week in Maine in November! Our "what are we doing" fears disappeared as soon as we began our 1 hour 15 minute drive from Portland airport to Boothbay Harbor. Maine was a beautiful as I had always imagined and by the time we pulled into the driveway of this house, I was in love!

The house is very old but had been updated very tastefully. Very cozy, spacious and warm (important to warm weather Florideans). It sits up on a hill overlooking the ocean and I loved the sun that shined into the front of the house every morning. The first hour of the day in the front living room with my computer, coffee and sun was my favorite hour of the day! The yard was big so there was no issue with neighbors being on top of us. There is a seperate apartment above the garage and the couple that lived there were very nice.

It really was a short walk to town so we only got into our car to go exploring around the peninsula. McSegulls was out go to restaurant in town.

Loved our time, town & this house - can't even imagine how wonderful it would have been in the summer or fall.

Owner's Response: Bear Angie Glad you discovered the secret of winter in Maine. The slow pace allows you to see Maine as it really is. Good to hear the home is very warm. New windows, insulation, doors... have taken us a few years to do but seem well worth it. Hope to see you again. -Jim & Lisa

What a place to celebrate!

  • 5 of 5

For six old friends. The last of us had retired and we were looking for a place we could relax and enjoy some good company, good meals and laughter. Boy did we find it. This was a charming house, beautifully decorated and exactly what we were looking for. Off street parking, well equipped kitchen and dining room, and two rooms to just sit and talk. It's an easy walk to town, and Lisa's list of restaurants was right on. We used the kitchen equipment to cook a few awesome dinners. Easy driving distance to a number of fun places to visit. Note that there are two baths but only one shower. We were fine with this since we had two bath takers and the rest of us worked out a timely share. I think we would all stay here again in a heartbeat! Grocery store, gas station, post office, wonderful shops all within a half mile. Sunrise is glorious from here! Outdoor grill with patio table and chairs also right there.

Pleasant Stay in Boothbay

  • 4 of 5

The pictures & descriptions on the web site fairly present the property, so believe what you read. It is comfortable, well equipped, and has been really nicely maintained. The kitchen is great and generally the house does not feel like a "rental". We were content with our choice. Dish TV (in a separate family room) and WiFi are an added bonus. Only oddity is that the large upstairs bathroom is also the entrance to the large upstairs bedroom, but establishing some protocols works around any problems. Shower is in the smaller downstairs bathroom. (All bedrooms are upstairs.)

Location is a short walk (uphill on the way back!) from downtown. House comes complete with friendly tenants in a garage apartment who can offer local advice.

We'd certainly consider this property if we make a return trip to area.
