Rustic and great location

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed staying at your house over Memorial Day weekend. The kids liked sleeping in the lofts. One thing we suggest is getting a bigger table, or one that extends, to accommodate 8 people. Also you may need to do something about the ants in the kitchen. Otherwise the house was truly enjoyable and we had a great time. Thank you.

Beautiful place

  • 5 of 5

Central to everything in Point Reyes, this place has amazing views of Tomales Bay. Plenty of room and nice that the TV was tucked in the corner, we never even used it. Kitchen was well equipped and the sleeping lofts off the entry way were perfect for us.

Big Cabin, plenty of space but it needs a good cleaning, I don't think it's been vacuumed in years. It is also overrun with spiders and webs everywhere inside and out as well as other bugs and ants in bathrooms and kitchen. It needs bug bombed. Grounds are very overgrown, no signs on road, I guess it's a regular occurrence for tenants to end up at the neighbors house when looking for it, and parking is horrible. It also had a terrible musty smell that about knocks you over when you enter. The sheets on our bed were the roughest, nastiest i've ever sleeped on. Furnishings, tv, etc are all extremely old and very out dated. We would never go back.

Cozy place for groups with lots of charm!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time exploring all the house had to offer. The two decks were great for watching the stars. Fireplace was charming and easy to use. The kitchen was fully stocked with cutlery, etc to feed 7 adults and probably could have fed more. We had some small kids visit and not understand why there weren't pages in the "books" on the shelf. They had never seen VHS tapes before!

Thanks for a memorable weekend

Perfect Family Retreat

  • 5 of 5

We spent 5 days here with 2 families (4 kids aged 12, 11, 9 and 9) and we could not have enjoyed our stay more. The house was tranquil and inviting -- perfectly laid out for together time as well as quiet spaces for sleeping and reading. There was a designer among us, who enjoyed the classic, low key California style -- open spaces oriented towards views, large natural beams (with bonus of some climbing pegs -- fun for our wall-climbing tweens). The main space is open and airy, with one end open onto windows and a balcony in the trees, and the other end all windows and another balcony overlooking the water. There's a little cozy t.v. nook where the kids could play or watch a video, or grownups could talk late at night, two large private bedrooms downstairs (comfy beds), and two nice lofts upstairs. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a nice family dinner, although you need to improvise a little (move the desk to the table) to get 8 people sitting down for a meal.

Great for two families - Very Affordable

  • 5 of 5

Cozy and comfortable for 5 adults and 4 kids ages 7-17 during our stay. The jack and jill bathroom worked well on main floor. As others have stated, the house is very close to many attractions, be it the beach, the Elk, Point Reyes. Great view of bay, kitchen is well stocked, everything worked...appliances, lights, water etc.

Parking is tight, as there is no driveway. We were able to squeeze in a Toyota Siena van, and 2 mid sized vehicles on the road in front of the residence.

Very responsive owner.

Wouldn't hesitate to return.
