A little more informative description would be nice . The unit is cozy finished basement . The unit was clean however several wasp’s were in the unit on the morning of our second day the sewer system overflowed, causing a pretty severe flooding problem. The owner was contacted and offered to refund part of the rent . Otherwise a nice little clean unit
Porch is nasty and webs on doors and windows. Smells like weed, back door is locked from outside," I think it must go upstairs to someone's house so there is no back exit " tub won't drain, leftover food in freezer and refrigerator, window over bed is dirty, windows not covered directly in from of commode, mold in where commode is, dehumidifier bucket is full, peoples clothes in closet, personal used hygiene items in nightstand and bathroom. I did take pictures and thankfully got us a full refund. We ended up going to a hotel up the road. The parking is difficult also but could have been fine with that.
We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed every minute of it. The babbling brook was very peaceful and everything inside was accommodating and very clean. The owner was on top of any need we had and quick to respond with any questions. We plan on staying again with more visits we have there.
We loved the awesome art and artifacts, books and decor. The place was clean and had a nice variety of organic tea in which i love. It was a little hot but the host remotely adjusted the temperature quickly for us. King sized bed was great. Washer and dryer was helpful. GPS kept messing with us (not the hosts fault) , so we drove in a circle for what felt like 25 minutes. We plan on coming back to stay again when we can stay longer. :)
I was really happy with my time there. The place is welcoming while also giving you privacy. It's minutes from Lake Junaluska and Waynesville if you want variety, but also gives you plenty of space if you want to stay in. Kitchen is easy to navigate. All the floors are tile, so I recommend packing socks or slippers if your feet are prone to getting chilly. (And if you forget to pack entertainment, there's bookshelves everywhere!)
The property had all items needed. You can only fill the tub half full before the hot water turns cold (hot water tank is not big enough). You cannot control your own heat/air, you have to contact property manager to control it for you. We enjoyed our time here and would rent again.

I was unaware that the location would be a basement of a residential home. I wish that would have included in the listing or at least in the pictures. Other than that, it was quiet and neat.

The first problem was the steep hill going into the Vrbo from parking. The second thing it reeked of marijuana bad the third thing was you could not control the air-conditioning in the unit. You had to text the manager to get them to adjust the temperature and the paddle fan did not have a chain to turn it on to be honest, we sprayed ozone Lysol for breeze and then perfume, trying to get rid of the marijuana smell. It was terrible.

Teresa had a litany of complaints from the moment she arrived, including (and mostly) that she could smell marijuana. NC is a THCa legal state, and as explained to her people in the neighborhood do smoke. She said it was a health concern, but when given an opportunity to be refunded and go to a hotel or other VRBO property, she opted instead for a partial refund and to stay, (so apparently it wasn't that big of a health concern.) She received a 50% discount anyway, since she elected to stay and still chose to burn me with a review. I would not rent to her again, and encourage others not to either.
My partner and I needed a quick getaway and this place was perfect for that. We enjoyed using the fire pit, grill, chess set, and jacuzzi tub! Also lots of interesting art, crystals and antiques. The host also included a bag of candy and popcorn for Halloween , very kind and thoughtful . Fun and unique place !

Quiet property, the host is connected and communicated promptly thoughout the check in process. The antiques and interior of the property is worth mentioning. Highly recommended
Cozy basement apartment- loaded with books and eclectic art. Conveniently located, quiet and peaceful.
Only issues were the shower set-up is a little weird, and never really got full hot. Driveway /parking is not low-car friendly…other than that, a very peaceful and pleasant stay. Owner was super accommodating and very nice.

Hey Patrick, just wanted to thank you for your feedback. We had a plumber come out and look at the shower and there was a broken valve in it. It is now running well again, plenty of hot water. As well we have had the gravel drive smoothed over again, but it's a constant fight with the rain. Anyway, thanks for the review, and It was nice meeting you and your partner!
Our stay was satisfactory, but it's crucial to note that the space is a basement in a residential house. The water emitted a sulfur smell, the television was compact, and the bedroom was stuffy, but we were able to open a window as it was chilly outside. It was dark when we arrived. Tried contacting someone for exact location but never got a response
We only had 2 washclothes and I sent a message with no response. Also I have lost a bracelet and wonder if I left it there. It is an Easter bracelet with lots of pastel colors and a cross charm..

It was a horrible experience. Its in a basement with 6 foot ceilings and is dark. The water smells horrible and the tub is to big for the water heater it runs out ½ way through. 0/10 would not recommend
When I booked this place it said a cabin then when I got the passcode for the door it said an apartment. We stayed about 2 hours and I booked another hotel up the road. Will not stay there again. Try to use the hot water and it smelled like sulfur, there was bugs and old condiments in the fridge and food in the freezer. The bathroom has a window with no curtain and the couch also smelled musty. It would be nice to get a refund or partial refund back from this booking.
It’s a very neat atmosphere with a lot of cool antiques. Kitchen was conveniently stocked with a lot of kitchen tools and great brand of teas and coffee to choose from. We didn’t get to see it much in the light because of the weather upon our arrival the host was very accommodating in adjusting the thermostat for us upon request. I did come across a respiratory allergy with the scent of musty books and mildew smell and the host provided diffusers to help. I was able to remedy with my own Essentials oils to purify the air. The host might consider diffusing lemongrass in the future.
